  1. sorry- mothballs I fixed my typo. I forgot we had an edit option.
  2. I just went to the SS website and for Nov. and Dec this year. there are NO cruises for either the Moon or the Dawn. Must be putting them in mothballs! I didn't feel like checking 2022.
  3. I staying in Arizona for Thanksgiving. Going to Scottsdale for a few days. I will miss Dubai to Mumbai then the Taj but such is life!!
  4. I think this is totally out of SS's control. Welcome to the Covid world!!
  5. I misspoke. Crossing the pond has 10 at sea days. Not my idea of a good time.
  6. I am now very glad I canceled a couple of weeks ago. I sure don't want 7 or 8 sea days- been there, done that!
  7. I did a search for current posts regards the time to get your refund after you cancel and could not find any current posts. We canceled a week ago our Dubai to Mubai cruise and it was quite a task to get SS to agree with their own "Cruise with Confidence" policy. They finally agreed and we are supposed to get a refund minus $200 admin fee. In the last couple of months has anybody canceled and received their refund. I am looking for a time frame in the current world of how long it took. I want to book another cruise next year but I don't want to do anything until I get my money back. Thanks.
  8. Great question flyingshoes- the 100% return is only up to 61 days and I was at 64 days and counting. I was not sure what SS would do and they did what I was worried about- started playing games with my money. Since I just paid in full at the end of July, I had to threaten disputing the charge on my credit card and I had all the back up evidence. I guess I just didn't trust them especially after canceling my airfares and not telling me. I could have waited but the trust level of any games being played was in my mind. I'm just happy to get my money back. In the end, they did the right thing but it took three long days and my TA was on a Seabourn cruise and she had to put a lot of time into getting my money back. All's well that ends well and no company or person is perfect!! That's my story and I am sticking to it.
  9. Here is my somewhat happy ending to this saga- I just cancelled Dubai to Mumbai. SS was giving us grief initially wanting to charge cancellation fees for hotels never confirmed and wanting to charge us the $6000 cost of the Taj Mahal post cruise. I know these were never firmed up. Finally, they relented and agreed to my full refund less $200 admin fee. I had to have my TA show them on their website "cruise with confidence" dated 9-2-21. It was a pain but in the end, SS did the right thing. Now let's see how long to get a refund!! Oh the new Covid world. Will I rebook on SS- YES!!

  11. How can anybody screw up a hamburger????
  12. It is possible that the cruise to Dubai is still on and the "under review" cruise which may be cancelled is Dubai to Mumbai.
