Nope. My PCC couldn’t do it, and neither could the chat agent. Both told me that it’s not compatible with the free airfare promo. I am going to wait to see if it changes when it launches officially and if not, just upgrade the drink package and 1 wifi.

Perks plus? Is that what they called it? Is it different than the Free at Sea Plus? I have tried 5 different agents in total via chat and phone and none have been able to add free at sea plus on my reservation with air , as they all say it’s a conflicting promo. if it’s the same thing, I wish NCL would figure their stuff out and apply this equally across the board

Does she not have Free at Sea on her booking? That comes with 150 minutes

I agree and that’s why it makes no sense to me. They will lose money if I can’t add it. I will just get the upgraded beverage plan and 1 wifi, which will be cheaper than this package. I am also going to play a wait and see game with it as I think it will change once it’s released in full.

ok, more confirmation that I am not losing my mind. Lol. I assume your august cruise has no airfare on it? I am hoping they change this policy and allow me to upgrade once it gets launched officially. If not, I may just upgrade the drinks and 1 wifi and leave it at that as that is what we cared about most.

i am going back and forth on the free airfare deal. It seems like a good deal at first, but I wont know until next year when I can price out airfare to be sure. I just find it weird that it would affect my ability to upgrade as I would think they would want people to take advantage of this. frustrating that others seem to able to and for whatever reason I can’t .

Well, spoke with 2 chat agents and a PCC and all say the same thing. Because I have the air promotion it won’t let them upgrade me to FASUP. I don’t know what else to do other than cancel my air promotion and book it. Checking flights it might work out cheaper anyway. 🤷‍♂️ Congrats to those who got it added, I am clueless as to how.

I will have to try again then. When you call and add it on, do you pay for it right away? Or is it added to the outstanding bill?

Did they know what the promo was when you called? I must have just gotten an agent who didn’t know how to apply it. 🤷‍♂️ I will try again. Luckily we aren’t sailing until late next year so I have lots of time.

Well that’s frustrating. Perhaps I should try calling again. It doesn’t make sense to me that they wouldn’t want me to be able to upgrade. I may wait until they formally announce the program as they seem clueless about it now.

Just as an FYI, I tried adding this tonight and was told I couldn’t because I have the free second person flies free promo. They said I could upgrade all individually, but this would have been way cheaper for me. Not really happy about this. 😞

fair point. Just doesn’t make sense that the promo can’t be added on with the free airfare. It’s an upgrade for more money, you would think they would want that. I won’t be adding all of them separately if I can’t do this so they will lose money on me

Trying to add it now. First the agent didn’t know what it was, now the Agent is telling me it knocks out my second airfare is free promo so I cannot add it. I can individually upgrade each one, but that defeats the purpose of the deal. Anyone successfully add it with the free second airfare? Maybe I should transfer my booking to a TA to see if they can sort it out?

I still can’t find anything about this online. Where did the original image come from? I will have to call them tonight. Luckily We don’t cruise until 2023 so I have some time. Lol

sweet lord this is long and I don’t know how to respond to some of it. I am not planning on getting “drunk” every night but will enjoy my beverage package. My wife and I enjoy coffee and the Starbucks will be nice. I enjoy energy drinks and will have one of those daily, I would like to try more premium type liquor, champagne by the glass and other wines. we will both use the wifi and plan on doing excursions in almost all ports… and more importantly, as it’s our 25th wedding anniversary trip, I don’t want to think at all about how much anything costs. I pay this and just go and enjoy the week. I think it will come out cheaper, but to be honest, the piece of mind is worth it to me

I agree. I was planning on upgrading the wifi and the drink package on our 7 day cruise and I think this will be perfect for us. Just need to see the Canadian $ conversion 🙂

Ok. I need some help. Going on NCL bliss next November from LA, and I have started a CIBC US account to save some spending money. Does anyone know if I can just use my debit card in the US and on the ship and withdraw my US dollars without any extra fees beyond ATM fees? we will use a CC for the account on the ship, this will just be cash for the ports and casino.

we are booked for Nov 2023, so I hope most of the issues regarding air travel right now will be sorted out....that said, I still think going with the Free second person is well worth it...we will just come in a day early in case anything happens to be safe.
