Thanks for the info. Did Pisa last time so looking to do something different this time.Considered taking bus from shuttle drop off point to station and then train to Lucca but taxito train station may be better option due to time limits. Which option did you use?

Does anyone know if Carnival cruise line recognises P & O peninsular tiers? I have read of other cruisers traveling with Princess and they have been allocated a higher tier because of past P & O points. As the cruise lines are all under the same banner, just wondered.

The change to embarkation started in October last year and we were on a cruise then and found it was longer than 30 minutes to board. It would appear from what other people are saying on this thread and in reviews ,things are a lot different from even then.

Cruised with RCI last year.From arriving at terminal, to sitting in windjammers, 30 minutes.Great start to our holiday.

Does anyone know the reason why boarding times have changed from midday to 12.30.This means there is less time to board more passengers.Would it not make more sense to start boarding at say 11.30am?
