This seems to be happening a lot. My last two cruises same exact scenario.
My upcoming cruise My DW 9:30 me 10 my son and his friend 11. Were just showing up around 10 I am sure by the time we park drop off luggage it will be around 10:30.
I believe there will be no Vibe passes after they are sold out I also believe The dining will be sold out. I also believe they will not let you upgrade outside the new bid process.
I think folks hope the second bed can fit a adult in them. And I know I would not be getting much sleep in the couch bed or those beds that come down from the wall.
That is cool as heck. I remember meeting Tony Dungy on a cruise recently my son was about 17 at the time we were on a elevator with Tony and his wife. My son said geez why are all these folks trying to get on this elevator like were famous or something. I looked at Tony we both laughed. I found out the next day he was doing a speech on the ship.
This is funny I remember reading something like this. I cant stand folks that constantly have to be the center of attention. I try to avoid these folks as much as possible. Dont want to feed into there behavior.
I will be on the Joy next Saturday I have Vibe passes but I will ask if there were any available on embarkation day. Although I have had the experience with NCL were a lot of things vary every time I cruise.
Man this thread is all over the place. We got pizza, butlers, inflation, greedy folks, rip offs, cuts and Haven vs non Haven.
If you are new to cruising and you happened to find CC you probably would not book a cruise reading this stuff.
All I have to remember is this is a vacation a cruise vacation no cooking no cleaning no working sounds good to me sign me up.
That's cool one day I will have to do a NY Canada trip. I just usually drive to Miami, Ft Lauderdale or Orlando. I like the Miami terminals the best and seems easiest port Canaveral in Orlando my least favorite.
I didn't realize all that was involved cruising out of NY. I guess I feel fortunate cruising out of FL. We just park in the garage and drop our luggage off with the porter and walk in the cruise terminal.
What I have found is a lot of the food in all the restaurants including Haven is the exact same.
And every year I cruise the percentage of food being the same in all the restaurants grows.
On the upside going to different restaurants gives you some options to change it up.
That is one reason a lot of folks do not just eat in the Haven including myself.
Actually there is a new closed area by the pool for smoking it was just added.
They also added a area by the humidor for cigarette smokers separating them from the cigar smokers. There is a you tube video on Joy changes I seen it on.
I think people ask this to get everyone all worked up. Killing me.
Lately the way service goes you will probably be lucky to see your butler once a day they always claim to have 17 rooms or something crazy.
Concierge I hardly ever use them so I never tip them much.
They may have stopped selling cabanas on all ships. They make more money selling individual passes now. Well unless they just raise the price of the cabana too.
I am still curious why they stopped selling cabanas.
I do know they are opening up Vibe to more folks after the upgrade.
So I know they increased the sundeck area and I think added a hot tub in the vibe.
