  1. We just booked a panoramic room on deck 12 for our family (kids are 5 and 3 yr old) for the April 1, 2019 trip to Western Caribbean. Given it’ll be spring break, I’m little concerned about being able to use Kids club. I heard there are only 30 spots per age group. Tips on how to get them in would great. Also, curious about some possible shore excursions to Costa Maya and Cozumel with a 3 and 5 year old. Lastly, any feedback about Indy for a young family would be much appreciated!

We love Maya Chan in Costa Maya. You book this yourself. Check out Playa Mia in Cozumel since you have younger children. It is booked thru Royal Caribbean. Our kids loved this place. :)

  2. Hi! My family and I will be sailing on Harmony early October. We've sailed Royal Oasis class before and entertainment was always available to book at least a few months out from sailing, but there is still nothing showing in the cruise planner for our October cruise. Anyone else sailing Harmony around this time frame not seeing entertainment options? I just want to be sure we don't miss out because I'm excited for Grease and some of the other shows.

    Thanks!

We are mid Oct & nothing yet on our Harmony cruise..would expect it soon but we are not under 90 days just yet. :)

  3. Hi. Flight options are 9:45 and 10:15 AM departure from SEATAC - we were going to taxi to SEATAC but your Seattle Express sounds interesting (how do they know to find you?). We would be first in line to leave the ship. We expect that when Ovation replaces Explorer it will have the same "drill" at the port since its a replacement ship and not learning a new berth or anything. THANKS. PS I"m sorry that I did not create a new thread for this but I could not figure out how to create a new thread for EXPLORER! Only RCCL overall which seemed silly since my question is for explorer Alaska only

I would feel good with the 10:15 a.m. If you are waiting in line by 6:15 a.m. & are one of the first off when it clears customs. I didnt want to mess with a taxi. I had heard they had different lines for taxis, etc & I didnt want the trouble of wondering how long that would take. Seattle Express dropped us off at the pier then also picked us back up to go to the airport. They have a numbered slot that their shuttle always parks at. They will let you know where they will be.

  4. I know I am jumping in here but I did not know how to start a new thread! I wondered from people who got off self assist in seattle - how close to the 6 AM "docking in Seattle time" could you be off the ship and headed for SEA-TAC airport? It is so hard to decide when to book that flight home! Thanks a bunch!

We did self assist last July. What flight times do you have available & how are you getting to Sea Tac I would 1st ask? We had an 11:07 am flight out & we had plenty of time. We had arranged Seattle Express to pick us up & they were waiting when we disembarked. We were to our shuttle by 7 am. I would suggest the earlier you get off the easier & quicker things are.

  5. We are traveling on Harmony with my mother in law who has a grand suite. (sky class) Does anyone know for sure if we could get priority disembarkation with her since we are all driving together? Also, what breakfast is available the last day? Are suite guests allowed room service??

    Thank you for the help!!

  6.

    Bob,

I booked a cruise online last night. Its my first time with the new system. Does it really take 24 hrs now for the new booking to show up? I have tried to "link a missing cruise" and it just says " the reservation number you have entered is incorrect". I did call but they said to allow 24 hrs. Just wondered if that was the norm now. Thanks always for your help!!

  7. We are thinking of doing the BOGO dinner for nights one and two on our upcoming Harmony cruise. My question is this: there are 11 of us traveling. How do they work it to accommodate us all at one restaurant?

Go to the places you want to reserve right when you get on board. Know the cabin numbers & time you want. The restaurant can work out the details. But board asap & go straight there for that large of a party. We linked 3 cabins the last time we sailed.

  8. Had Dunkirk for feb 11-18

What I don't get is the deeper movies like Dunkirk and Only the Brave couldn't they find some more 'feel good' almost recent releases instead?

I did watch only the Brave in the main theater and I don't think there was a dry eye in the house a very subdued crowd leaving

I am just wondering aloud about keeping things upbeat for the people on vacation, am I off base?

I totally agree with you!! Keep it light hearted & comedies..

  9. no I didn't report it, I honestly wasn't sure of what was allowed in terms of smoking on the boat. Only places I was 100% sure was the casino and one side of the pool deck. From our stateroom deck wasn't super strong, but strong enough to let you know it was there....nothing like the casino bad

have a good time on your cruise, it was super fun!

Thank you, can't wait!! You are correct on the areas.. & no smoking on balconies at all.

  10. Anyone else having issues with being able to pay for an excursion? Getting an error message that says "Payment Error Payment not accepted". We have tried different cards & cleared cookies. Wondering if its just another IT issue? Going to try again in the a.m. just wondering if others were having any issues booking/paying.

  11. My mother in law is in a grand suite in Oct on Harmony..Not listed as a choice for her dining.. Hoping we can make arrangements once on board.. Anyone have luck reserving thru the concierge ahead of time? or easy enough to go straight there and make dinner reservations?

  12. I called RCCL's customer service line to ask about this, since we have a nine hour drive home next month, and we want to get on the road early. The customer service rep told me "you can sign up for it on the ship". That was the extent of his helpful information. So if anyone has anything else to add, I'm all ears.

On Harmony in March, we were given a form mid-week & we were to select what option we were doing..We always self-disembark since we usually drive home also..but its 16 hrs for us!! lol
