  1. Posted by SUSIE&TIM: We will be on the Reflection and were considering this because of an 11 am flight. It would keep us from carrying off our own luggage. We are flying American Airlines. Do you think 11 am is too early for the luggage valet? I will ask on our first day for sure.

Luggage Valet was offered on our recent Solstice cruise that ended in Seattle. The sign-up sheet (have a copy in front of me) specifies the flight must leave from 11:00 AM to 11:59 PM; however, this may be different at different airports. Info re Luggage Valet wasn't available on our cruise until about the third or fourth day. It was announced in Celebrity Today, but the concierge has the information as well. It worked well for us!

  2. Just returned to San Francisco last night after staying several nights in Barcelona after our October 14 (last of the season) Solstice cruise on the same itinerary. We had cruised on the Equinox, so were familiar with the Solstice, her sister ship. I had read your posts before we left and finished reading the thread a few minutes ago, in a severely jet-lagged state. Loving every minute of your posts and can't wait to read the about the rest of your trip.

By the way, we did find the Buza bar, but didn't know about the stairs down to the Adriatic. For those asking for directions, it's impossible to direct you. Here are a few hints: As you enter the gate to Dubrovnik, go all the way to the clock tower. The bar is up high on the right hand side. Start asking servers in the little eateries in the area. Near the top, I stepped into a small shop which doubled as the kitchen of the living space, and the two women there were happy to finalize the directions. At Buza, be sure to visit the restroom :D

  3. A few years ago there was a short-lived considerable price drop in the suite GTY category of the Constellation. We were able to take advantage of the price drop, upgrade into the GTY category, and were assigned an accessible Sky Suite (lower category--not sure if 1 or 2 is the lower category). I phoned =X= and was moved to a regular suite, not accessible, in the same category. I'm guessing you could do the same. Just stay on top of it, as Angela suggested.

  4. Gulp...I posted to this thread in January and never posted the link. :o Here's a photo of one side of one of the S-Class ships. Since the ships are symmetrical and most of the S-Class ships are the same, this photo should show the amount of obstruction on Deck 6 on either port or starboard. You can slide the photo to see the rear, middle, and front of the ship. Thanks to Andreas Depping.

  5. Here you go. Not a photo of the view from the cabin, but a view of the ship from the water. You can line up the photo with the deck plan found on the X site to see the amount of obstruction for a particular cabin. The photo is of the starboard side, but ship is symmetrical so cabin location should also work for the port side. Andreas Depping is credited with the photo; he did a great job.

  6. LOL, 2morecruises. I quickly scrolled up to add a reply to alert Texed about this recipe appearing on CC and found that you beat me to it! Thought he would've replied within seconds of the recipe being posted.

I've made lots of waffles, but I've never seen cornstarch in a recipe, so maybe that's the secret.
