  1. I am currently onboard the lovely Oasis of the Seas. I probaly won't do daily updates, but I will stop by to answer any questions. So if you have any feel free to ask and I will find the answer for you. The wifi is amazing. It is quick enough to watch a movie on Netflix in the cabin. Prices were as follows

    2 Device Unlimited - 140

    1 Device Unlimited - 105

    24 Hour - 30

    1 Hour - 30

Diamond got 30 dollars off from the rate.

  2. Are there any definitive plans to get the Dreamworks Experience on Navigator anytime soon? It is almost fleetwide, but not on Navigator. It is puzzling that it wasn't added when the ship was refurbished last year. Thanks for any information you have.

It is not almost fleetwide. Only Voyager, Mariner, Freedom, Liberty, Oasis, Allure, and Quantum have it currently. There are no plans for it to extend to Naviagator at this time.

  3. Day 1: Welcome Aboard (Featuring Fun Force, Singers, and Comedian)

Day 2: 8 More Seconds (Country)

    Day 3: Guest Entertainer

Day 4: Dancin' in the Streets (Rock/Pop)

Day 5: Game Show (Newlywed, Trivia, Also the Deck Party night)

    Day 6: Get Ready (Motown)

Day 7: Legends (Guests as Star)

  4. that class of ships is a win for ccl. they are smaller so can fit where the big ships cant, the smaller cruises 3-5 days are affordable and easy for ccl to fill. smaller ships are probably cheaper to run. i think of that class as the work horses of the ccl fleet. i dont see any of them leaving anytime soon. i hope to get the chance to sail on one before they do go.

It is actually more expensive to run a smaller ship. The larger the ship the cheaper it becomes per passenger to operate.

  5. Book of Mormon would need to be severely edited and revised to make it on a ship. I think Phantom has an abridged version, like somebody said Jersey Boys does. Those two would be popular choices, I think.

A more "gettable" show that I haven't seen mentioned is Legally Blonde. That's a pretty harmless musical with some catchy songs and that people know the story from the movie.

Legally Blonde is currently onboard the NCL Getaway

  6. It's interesting that the web site describes these slides as "the first waterslides on Royal Caribbean".

Radiance class has one small slide, and the original 3 voyager ships (VY, EX, and AD) all also had one small slide. I think the one on Voyager is now gone though, due to the new flowrider.

  7. Book of Mormon and Jersey Boys would be great. Though of course I know Book would probably not go over so well with parents with younger kids, and I'm not sure about Jersey Boys

Book of Mormon is still selling out on Broadway with little to no discounts, successfully running in London, as well as two national tours. As much as I would love to see it onboard it will not happen for many years. Same with Wicked.

  8. They need to be shows that are not very recent, medium casts, and that are accessible (Mamma Mia and Abba, Hairspray/Chicago and the Films).

I think that "All Shook Up" would be a great choice. It is a Shakespearean story with all Elvis music. It is fast paced, humorous, has great dance numbers (Elvis), and is above all fun!

I also think that Grease would be a good choice.

  9. When Quantum goes to China, is she bringing Mama Mia with her?

When Anthem comes to the States, is she bringing We Will Rock You with her?

I ask, because the sets are already designed and in place on both ships, making it seem like the shows that are on the ships today, will stay with them through the repositioning.

That said, I haven't heard any news one way or the other. Have you?

It will be taken off Quantum in Barcelona as that is where Allure is having its dry dock.

  10. Sequins and Feathers will only be on Quantum. It will replace Mamma Mia when that moves to Allure. Also, Quantum just introduced another new show "Name that Tune" it features the orchestra, cruise director, and some dancers. It's has sets and everything. It sort of a hybrid game show and production show.

  11. The broadway show will be "We Will Rock You", and the production show will be called "The Gift". Royal Caribbean Prodictions states that ""THE GIFT” is a musical journey of fantasy and illusion that begins one stormy night with the arrival of a “Magical Gift”. A beautiful production that is sure to delight, inspire and touch the hearts of all." It will feature breakdancers and pop and rock music. There will also be a new show in 270 that is different than "Starwater" but somewhat similar, much like the two aqua shows on Oasis and Allure. This show's vocalist will be a "Rock Diva", so I expect more current rock style songs.
