  1. I'll be taking my first Seabourn cruise in November on the Encore; my first cruise since I cruised the South Pacific in January/February 2020. I'm a solo traveller, and a Crystal refugee -- I didn't sail in a veranda cabin on Crystal once I discovered the abundance of quiet public outdoor spaces that were available to all passengers. So, my question is whether the Encore has reasonably available outdoor spaces with reasonable quiet and comfort? If not, I might want a veranda to relax and read in outdoor comfort, but if so, that would be a waste of money I'm sure I could spend instead on laundry (since the Encore is exceedingly limited with self-serve laundry, and it's quite a ways away).
  2. I don't have a bucket list, but I do develop a great desire to see some things once I start researching a place -- for instance, I'll be going to Greece for the first time this November, and I've made up my mind to see at least some of the Metora monasteries. I'd never heard of them before, and now I MUST see them when I'm there. My first view of Sagrada Familia (because that's what you do in Barcelona) 6 or7 years ago was so shocking, I said (without even thinking about it) "that's the most butt-ugly church I've ever seen." It seems Gaudi is not to my taste, though Barcelona did introduce me to Joan Miro, whose work I really like.
  3. Other that using less attractive space for those being willing to live in a small, dark, room - not much. It allows them to earn revenue from more passengers, while tempting them with something "special". Some times, the prices for these solo cabins are more than a solo in a regular cabin.
