We are sailing on Noordam for 2 weeks in May/June. Morimoto pop-up is held in the Pinnacle Grill twice on our cruise. For us it is on the Glacier Bay and then Juneau days.
FYI I noticed yesterday that the Seafood Boil dinner has also become available to pre-book, held in the Lido on Skagway days.

I though this sounded fabulous, I would just have it w/the coconut foam.
Me too. We have 2 reservations on an upcoming cruise for Morimoto, so I will definitely be trying it..! As POA1 would say, "for research"...😉

Looking forward to your experience on Morimoto! Normally I would go for chocolate-anything, but I recall reading someone said how good the white chocolate lime ganache was. Well I guess white chocolate would count, too!

They will sell you plenty of orange accessories to dress him😉
Mary, do they really sell Lewie clothing? I've walked by those tables of orange party stuff but didn't really look closely! 😄

I was thinking about Captain Albert yesterday. I really miss his blog to find out who’ll be the Captain of the Westerdam in June. I’m glad Holland America is promoting his book! I hope to purchase it onboard with OBC.
Thanks for posting.
Yes I think I will get it, too! To me, this is the kind of thing that HAL should give customers when they reach a certain milestone, such as 300 day medallion, or 5 star, something like that.

I'm so disappointed to hear about the slow service you are getting in CO dining room. We were there in December and it was very good service- obviously a different crew now. I know they took some staff from all the dining rooms including CO for the second leg of our 19 day cruise, which was the 7 days just before Christmas, because the Lido buffet was far busier than they expected. Not sure if that holds for your cruise. But we still had good service.

On Rotterdam last December, they were just left on the bed.

He did remind us to put our clocks back ½ hour, which we knew was coming. It is one of those few places where we do the ½ hour, and once we leave Sri Lanka, we will put the clocks back another ½ hour. There is another place in the world we have done this, but we cannot seem to recall where that was.
Newfoundland or Nuku Hiva?

Wise call. I saw the same thing on the Rotterdam. Tamarind was not available on April 3rd.
Sure enough, Morimoto appeared as bookable. We were able to score a 7 pm slot. The 7 o'clock time filled rather quickly. Fortunately, there are quite a few other times available.
Morimoto is not covered by Have It All, so it probably won't fill up as fast.
There aren't many specialty dining choices on Noordam so I thought adding Morimoto would make it more interesting! We had already booked our specialty reservations so I had to do some juggling to accommodate Morimoto, but fortunately caught it early enough to get timeslots we like for all. Plus a few Pinnacle lunches should round it out nicely.
I tried the surcharge Morimoto lobster and XO halibut on Rotterdam this past December and enjoyed both of them, so look forward to trying a full Morimoto menu. Any wine recommendations?? It will definitely be seafood! I will look forward to your own cruise commentary! -
Morimoto by Sea pop-up just appeared as a dining option when I checked my booking today, so I made a reservation. It is offered twice on our 14 night Noordam cruise end of May. I assume it will be in Pinnacle because there are no timeslots available for Pinnacle on those nights (days 6 & 12).

Yes I agree about wearing sunscreen everyday! The difference for me is warm and hot temperatures. Right now we are still in winter, so I can wear any brand. But come summer, I'll be test running these new ones!!

Gorgeous scenery again! it always amazes me how so many trees can thrive on such a little spit of land.
ps did you really mean Gilligan's Island?! that would be kind of cool..🙂🌴

So far, I have ordered some Paula's Choice from the US and once it arrives, I'll have to wait for a warm enough day to arrive to test it out! I should be able to get LaRoche Posay locally, that's next on my list. Plus now I can add Shiseido to the list if necessary! It's been great to get some recommendations and I hope to be able to report back with some good updates!
ps nice looking hat! I do have one I like but more is better! Also have some good sunglasses plus prescription ones.
