Is there an unwritten rule on refillable water bottles? I will be bringing a water bottle (not plastic) for the first time. I used to buy the canned water and looking to spend that money elsewhere... Is it frowned upon filling the water bottle up with ice and water in the Lido?
You can certainly fill your own containers, plastic or otherwise, in the Lido. The rule is: do not fill it directly from the spout- fill one of the Lido cups and then pour that into your container.

Re: CO upgrade- yes, we have done it twice. Once on RDam, once on KDam. Had 1155 on R, 1145 on K. Of course, they have to be available at the time.
The gray area I believe is the galley. We booked starboard for both. At the end of the hallway by the aft elevators on starboard, there is a crew entrance stairwell, but no noise from that.

I've been getting weird messages like you stated, and searches that don't go through, for quite a while. Using android tablet and pc. Has taken forever to book shore excursions or search new cruises!

Can you buy the water package delivered to the room after boarding? We’re pretty picky about water but have read good things about HAL’s water. I’d like to try it and only order the package if we don’t like it.
We always pre-order the 6 litre pkg of Acqua Panna and then have them in the fridge (after clearing out the mini bar stuff). But I believe you can also order the Panna pkg and the Flow water pkg once onboard, from the minibar menu.

I promised a report on the functionality of the TV ports so here is the news!
First a bit of background. Many cruisers ask about fitting peripherals to the stateroom TV and as most of the TV's are fitted flush to the wall, I was pleased when I saw stateroom 4045 available to book at a good price for this cruise. I had photographed 4045 on Koningsdam a few years ago (halfacts) and knew that the rear panel of the tv would be accessible via the articulating wall mount. I also knew that Koningsdam had Samsung TV so bought one of our Samsung remote controls from home and a few cables (usb/hdmi/pen drive etc) and a list of codes to access the Samsung Engineer Menu on the tv. So my first set back was that on Nieuw Statendam they have LG televisions 🙄so all plans were off!
Anyway onto to testing the functions. I inserted a pen drive/usb and a message was shown onscreen to say 'USB drive detected' but nothing else happened. I tried disconnecting the LAN cable and removing the power supply for a reset, but when I powered up again, still nothing.
So, a quick 'WhatsApp' message to a friend who I was meeting in Dun Laoghaire "Please get me a LG remote control!".
To Be Continued........
!!this is dedication!...

Does anyone have a current price list for Noordam spa and extras?
I have heard you can book use of the thermal pool and heated stone lounges is a pre board package which is cheaper than on board and dont need to have a treatment
Any suggestions?
Noordam thermal pool/ceramic loungers shows $149 . USD for 7 days on our current reservation screen. There are lots of other services but not in one neat sheet format to copy here. Are there specific services you're interested in?

So what happens when a passenger goes under the barrier?
They'll assign you 25 cabins to clean and worry about finding the hiring paperwork later..

Your photos are very nice!
Hope you both are feeling better tomorrow! Have you tried NY Deli or Dive In for lunch yet?

Welcome to CruiseCritic! Here is a link to a sample daily program on the Koningsdam, 7 day Alaska Inside Passage cruise. On the back page each day it shows the hours for pools & hot tubs, and the Greenhouse Spa & Salon (where the thermal pool is located).

Argovia sounds interesting; we've been on a few coffee plantations but not that one. Added to the list!

Yikes, that should never have left the kitchen! Ravioli shouldn't look like soup..

If it's lunch, the only thing I recall is ravioli, but I thought it was with mushrooms?

Thanks! I wasn't aware of this. I'll have to check if they ship to Canada. Affordably. Although I imagine it will be cheaper than a cruise..

Sounds like a fun adventure so far!
You will love Rotterdam. Not sure what cabin type you're used to, but the Family OV has terrific storage space if you are just 2 people. If you are on deck 1 mid to aft, we found it is super convenient for both MDR and CO dining room. Also a good location for the gangway midship, and atrium. Have a great cruise!- 1

Has anyone ever bought a bag of Signature Rotterdam 1873 coffee beans while on board any HAL ship? I ask because on our Koningsdam cruise recently, I could see the bags on display in Dutch Cafe, but when I asked to buy one, I was told that they had no way to sell them. It sounded like there wasn't a SKU in the POS, but she was kind of vague as to why!
I know you can buy the Coffee Lovers package pre-cruise, but that includes a beverage card and 2 mugs that I don't really need!
Obviously not an earth-shattering problem, but I am curious. The coffee is very nice.

Yes it is good- have had it on other ships so I'm glad to hear Noordam keeps up the tradition! I find that all of the soups are good to very good- we pretty much always order a soup at dinner!
