I told my wife that the next generation of ships should have a Mercedes dealership on the top deck. She asked why. I told her that people will buy anything expensive on a cruise. Â

Don't know about the Allure but vouchers do not cover Starbucks on Oasis. We go to the diamond lounge for coffee, cappuccino, latte, espresso.  Much better that Starbucks and free too.Â

Is dress code still a thing? 😉 😄Â
No, it is not. It no longer exists.

Just had the lobster last night on the Oasis (with new menus). Was it a Maine lobster? I have no idea. Was it bigger than previous lobster tails? Perhaps a little. Was it delicious? Yes it was. Was I happy? Very. Â

Other cruise lines are no different. We cruised RCI, MSC, NCL and Celebrity in 2022. Doing the same Cruise Lines this year. Try others to see and hear the same complaints.Â

I can't find a better value than i get on a cruise. Seven days with booze pkg, wifi, balcony, OBC that reduces price, and on some paid gratitues for less than $1,000 per person.Â
Â
Go out to a restaurant for 3 meals a day, a motel room for a night, and a couple drinks.
Breakfast > $5/person
Lunch > $10/person
Dinner > $20/person
Motel in Miami >$250/night
Drink >$5/drink
Multiply x 7 = NO COMPLAINS. EXCELLENT!
OPINIONS?
Where do you find a $5 breakfast and a $10 lunch other than fast food? And where can you get $5 drinks?

Coach, Kate Spade, MK, etc products are best bought at the OUTLET mall.Â

Casino odds:
Las Vegas = goodÂ
Indian casino = bad
Cruise ship = ugly
Â
There is no governing body that dictates the minimum returns that the machines must pay back to the player. Therefore they make their odds, which always favors the house.Â
My best friend is an avid, big time gambler, often betting thousands, will not go near the ship casino. Â

Please tell me the slots are cash only....I hope they don't let you put in your SeaPass and charge your room account for your casino gambling. I know someone in our traveling party who could get in trouble with this...
I am not 100% sure but I think the machines take both cash and sea pass card but I could be wrong.

I don't consider that "high tea". I call that "snacks in the WJ". 🙂Â
Never said it was high tea

RC never had "high tea". Princess does, and HAL does, as you experienced. Â
Years ago Royal offered scones, cream and jam at 3pm in the Windjammer as a do it yourself afternoon tea.Â
Princess serves afternoon tea, not high tea.
Don't know about Holland but doubt they serve high tea. Probably afternoon tea as well.
Very nice relaxing afternoon break. Makes me feel upper crust. 😆Â

If you have vouchers left get some waters or coke to take back to your cabin. 12:01 am your vouchers are cleared and reset. We have been able to get Bloody Mary's on debarkation day morning.
Actually I think the reset time has been changed to 5am or something like that.  But your advice is good.  If we do not use up our vouchers I will go to the bar and get some soft drinks for the room. Just ask the bartender to not open them.Â

Was on in December.  The old menus have some strong days and some weak days. Night 2 and Lobster night both have beef tenderloin and it is fantastic. Also the first night has jerk pork chop which is yummy. Hopefully the new menus will retain these offerings and drop things such as the turkey dinner. I'm ready for new menus. The old ones have been around for too long.Â

Also products such as Mio add sweetness and flavor to anything you put them in, such as bottled water, club soda or even unsweetened ice tea. Zero calorie I believe.  I use it to help me drink more water every day. Â

Just a FYI, if you don't know and care, bitters do have calories. It's pretty minimal, but a teaspoon of orange bitters is about 20 calories.Â
My bad. But it probably takes at least ten shakes to fill a teaspoon. Â

My favorite is San Pelligrino on ice with lime. Or a squirt of bitters. Very refreshing. Zero caloriesÂ

A low-calorie non-alcoholic drink menu would be great! Shirley Temple - ginger ale, a little grenadine, squeeze of lime and maraschino cherries.Â
Â
That Shirley is all sugar, except for the lime.Â

24 consecutive hours, or can they be broken-up throughout the entire cruise
Â
I understand that you said "one" 24 hour period. But, just checking.
One 24 hour period is the winning answer

Took my first 7 day on the Rhapsody.  She was big at the time. Boy did that change. I still would like to cruise her. Â

We will be on the Oasis in January 2023. We will be celebrating our first anniversary. We were married by the captain, on the Oasis in January 2022. Glad to hear you are enjoying her. Did you get a chance to try thr Indian food, offered daily at the lunchtime buffet?  It is stellar. The naan is made fresh onboard. Here's a picture from our excursion in Roatan. I think my wife was having a "moment".Â

Call the Crown and Anchor number and sort this out. If he is diamond (not matter how he got there) then she is entitled to his status.  If she needs a C&A number they can sort that out too. I recently had my wife's status upgraded to Diamond Plus doing this.Â

In December my friend of 50 years and I (after getting a note from my wife) decided to take a one week cruise to the Mexican Riviera. We live on different coasts. When booking I specifically requested separate beds. When we arrived at the room the beds were in (as I find out reading this thread) default position.  When Stewart came to introduce himself I told him of the error. He said he would fix it in the evening. When we returned from dinner and show, it was as requested, alleviating our worst fears. It was my 50th cruise and in a lot of ways, my best. Â

Well that is bad news. We love the jazz club. Â
