  1. And why would it matter? Why bring it up? Just to say gotcha!
  2. Wifi connection went in and out during 21 days on Explorer. Not the phone but the problem but the wifi strenght.
  3. I did. Besides the larger balcony, the medical frig is wonderful. Very cold beer, water and soft drinks. My wife loved the shower seat for shaving legs.
  4. Assigned because it was available. But be happy. Larger balcony, huge bathroom, spacious cabin with a sofa and a chair plus plenty of closet space. We had one on the Explorer a couple weeks ago and friends thought it was a suite. They are normally hard to get and book early. I might have some photos of ours.
  5. There you go. Newer ships/better wifi so app works better.
  6. Sounds like do what you want and everyone looks the other way. Tell them to go for it.
  7. And watch how fast MSC lovers jump on you. It's the CC way.
  8. Free because it's pretty useless. No notices of messages (ding) and unreliable.
  9. Aquafina and True something on Explorer in January.
  10. Wet, but how can we know if bleach was used to kill noro or just some other liquid that makes everyone feel better. 🤔
  11. No, but I didn't pick the name. Back when I signed up CC assigned a name based on your town, state and just adding cruisers after those abbreviations. Some have said it is possible to call in to get it changed. Seems like a lot of trouble. I did change my icon or whatever you call that little pix to a cry baby, hoping you would find that more appropriate.
  12. My name is not Fred, fyi, just as yours is not Starry, I assume. I see your posts and must admit that my impression is fairness. I've been around more than 10 years and I don't remember all the posts telling folks how to beat the system buying a guarantee then picking their cabin. But, I was wrong once before so anything is possible. Personally, I don't get the "old man screaming get off my lawn" line. I imagine you have seen others post that, just like the popcorn pix and such. I cruise quietly and mind my own business there -- even if someone shows up in the Windjammer in their bath robes. I hope you are upright for many years to come and appreciate your comments.
  13. Thanks for the lenghty response, RCCL. To be honest my complaining is self serving. Like so many things that were possible in the past, this too will someday be banned by Royal ALL because so many do it after being encouraged by bragging posters on CC. I understand you came here for advice and none of my comments were directed to you. Others who love discussing and bragging about their "hacks" are simply making sure that at some point this choice will not be available. I have seen it happen many times with Royal.
  14. But, what I am trying to say is that having booked a guarantee rate IS relevant cause now you are picking your cabin, which cost others more.
  15. Yes. We were on for 21 days in January. The chair hogs get up in the middle of the night to put stuff on Solarium chairs. By 8am they are all held but few people. Looking forward to your review.
  16. Then why do those who push this way of cheating always say: don't mention that you booked a guarantee cabin?
  17. Try calling in and saying "I booked a guaranteed cabin but see a better cabin. Can I move to it?" You will be told no. It is only through duplicity that you can move, misleading staff. And, in the process, you are causing other potential cruisers to settle for a lesser cabin that you didn’t want instead of having their pick of all non-guarantee cabins. Do you teach your kids to cheat?
  18. If its on the website, it is what should be followed. Some of you encourage people to call in and omit the fact that they book a guarantee to be able to cheat the system and pick the cabin for a highly reduced rate. TAs, especially, should not encourage ways to cheat.
  19. Agree completely. People see staff wiping and assume the process is being done properly and sanitized. Just like some here equate sticky feeling of railings to being santizer, when that is most probably just from either an unclean rag and/or sticky hands. It's just like the Windjammer staff wiping off multiple tables with the same rag. No cleaning is taking place.
