We are cruising out of Port Canaveral on RCL in October and are still searching for our best options to park at or near the port.
-
We have definitely decided to park at Port Canaveral next to the ship. We like to arrive as early as possible even if we have to wait to board.
Has anyone arrived too early and the parking lot not be opened? I saw somewhere that they don't allow you to park until two hours before the posted boarding time. Any truth to this?
Thank you,
-
Thanks for the info. Truly appreciate it.
Have a great weekend.

We are cruising on Freedom of the Seas out of Port Canaveral and have decided to park at the port. We like to arrive as early as possible and board as soon as possible.
What time did you arrive at the port and what time did you board?
Thank you,
-
Paul, thanks taking time to post a truly great review. I do have one concern. You appear to be eating all the food. :) We leave in the morning for New Orleans so I won't have a chance to read any more of your reviews. I know you had a wonderful two week vacation and I hope your next 36 hours goes by very slow for you.
Best regards.

One of the better reviews, I have ever read. We will be on the serenade in two weeks and looking forward to your on-board experience. Appreciate you taking time to detail all of your NOLA experience.

Thanks for the response. Would I be dropping off my luggage before parking?
-
I apologize if this has been answered in prior threads.
This will be our first time out of the Julia Street terminal. From what I have read, it appears that if you park at this terminal, it will be the Whale Lot - am I reading this right?
If this is the case, would I be better off parking at a place like Fulton Street Parking and let them take me there?
Thanks in advance for any information and/or advice.

I have been tipping $10.00 for our three backs for years.

Thanks everyone for your posts. Especially about the possible noise and sofa. We switched cabins several days ago and are still in a desirable location.
-
All of you confirmed what my thoughts were. Thank you for taking time to post. We are already looking forward to the cruise. Good night to all of you.

We've been on many cruises but never had a cabin with a connecting room. Has anyone ever had any issues with a connecting room - i.e. increased noise level? I need to make a decision by 8pm this evening on whether to take a connecting room in a desirable location.
Thank you,
-
Hope to hear from some of you immediately since we are leaving tomorrow.
We are going out of New Orleans tomorrow with stops in Key West and Freeport (Seranade). The Weather in New Orleans will be a high of 55 on sailing day and Key West will be 72.
My question is, will the dining rooms be comfortable enough to wear polo shirts or should we count on long sleeves.
Thank you so much for the information.

Thanks everyone, you were all a tremendous help, especially you Jimbo.

Thanks everyone for the information.
Happy New Year to all of you.

When RCL docks in Key West, is transportation provided to the main part of town and is there a charge?
Thank you,
-
Thanks Busy Blond for a great post. We will be boarding the same ship in five weeks. What time did you arrive at the port and what time did you board?
-
Thanks everyone. This is what I figured. We have always arrived prior to 11am.

I just received EDOCS for my January 25th cruise out of New Orleans. RCCL is offering the following Check-in times to better enhance check in and boarding experience. If you haven't reached at least Platinum status, they are giving you times to board, i.e. Deck 10 at 11am, Deck 9 at 11:30am, etc.
Does anyone know if they are strict on this or if this is just suggested times?
Thank you,
-
There is a priority line and they send you through that. There are others who know more about this who may give you more information. Basically, everyone we ran into, we told them we had FTTF and they directed us. Really a piece of cake.
-
I can now vouch for FTTF. Purchased it for our cruise out of New Orleans. Just for the privilege of getting on and off the ship quickly was well worth the $49.95. We were escorted to the front, got all documentation done, sat in a special section. Quickly boarded, went straight to our cabin, dropped off luggage, and was one of first one's to the buffet. In our opinion, it was fantastic. Happy Cruising everyone.

Thanks for posting all of those wonderful pictures. We will be on the Serenade in 11 weeks out of New Orleans.

Welcome to Cruise-A- Anonymous. We took our first cruise in 1994 and have been hooked since. We are always ready to go back on a cruise. So we book one as far out as we can to have something to look forward to. Soon 7-day cruises were not enough. We love 10 day and plan to do 12-14 day soon.
Happy to say, there is no cure. Book another one and keep on going.
I have always said there is only one downside to cruising and that is docking and getting off.

Thanks for taking time to post your experience with FTTF. We have purchased it for our upcoming cruise and you reinforced why we bought it.
Thanks again,
Parking at Port Canaveral Terminal
in Florida Departures
Posted
This is our first time out of Port Canaveral and we leave in about two months. Have read a lot about parking at the terminal vs park and ride. We would prefer to park at the terminal and arrive as early as possible.
Any suggestions from those of you who have parked and cruised out of Port Canaveral in the past six months?
Any nightmares to avoid?
Thanks in advance,
