  1. Laura, My 20 year email address of dywa@knology.net has been deleted by Knology by error. How can I change my email address on cruise critic. Thank you.
  2. We will be boarding the Adventure of the Seas on Jan 5. We have the earliest check-in time of 11 a.m. Several questions: 1, Are we boarding on the port or starboard side? 2. We are also Diamond members. Are we able to board earlier than 11 a.m.? 3. Does the Windjammer open at 11 a.m.? Appreciare any info. Thanks, Yancycruiser
  3. Husky 1987. Congratulations on your Husky's great season. Perhaps we will get to play you in the National Championship game. Roll Tide!!
  4. I have booked for Jan of 2024 and 2025 (our 25th & 26th cruise). I have used the same travel agent for 20 of these cruises. The prices are definitely cheaper, sometimes much cheaper, when booking early. I pay $500 deposit with the final payment due around 75 days prior to the cruise. I have had to cancel once before final payment due and received the deposit back.
  5. I did not take time to read every response. On at least three of our cruises, we went to the main dining room right after boarding and had no problem switching to early seating. Good luck.
  6. Yes, we noticed and have already booked an 8-day cruise. Port Canaveral is our favorite port to cruise out of and we have a 500 mile drive.
  7. Been on RCCL and Princess many times and agree with the other posters on these two things: Food is better on Princess You don't want to miss Glacier Bay Other than that, we have had great experiences on both cruise lines.
  8. Again, thank you all for taking time to post your thoughts. I have had a TA for 15 years and thanks to your experiences, I will continue to use a TA.
  9. I have used the same cruise travel agency for over 15 years and am strongly considering switching to dealing directly with Royal Caribbean. Had several things happen with my current travel agency that have led me to considering this. Please give me your pros and cons to either switch or find another travel agency. Appreciate any and all opinions. Looking forward to your responses. Thank you,
  10. Thanks everyone for taking time to write wonderful detailed responses. Truly appreciate your time. I have decided to stick with Royal Caribbean and Princess for now. Happy cruising to all of you.
  11. Music to may ears, BamaVol. We definitely like the older crowd with less activites that most families and kid like. Appreciate the detailed info. I am just about sold on taking this cruise. Thanks again. By the way, are you the Bama or Vol fan. Most of our family are Bama with my oldest daughter and her family being Auburn fans.
  12. Thank you Two Wheels Only for your detailed input. It really helps with my overall decision.
  13. We have become cruise-aholics since our first cruise 30 years ago. We are both in our early 80s and healthy so far. Our last five cruise have been Royal Caribbean since we receive free perks. We have been on 6 princess cruises with the last being six years. We are strongly considering Caribbean Princess for our next cruise. What are your thoughts on Princess versus Royal Caribbean? We are also considering a good deal on a guaranteed cabin which we had nover done in the past. Anyone have any bad experiences with Guaranteed cabins? Looking forward to hearing from anyone.
  14. We are long-time cruisers since 1993 and last time on Norwegian 25 years ago. We are considering the Norwegian Epic out of Port Canaveral, 8-day cruise out of Port Canaveral. We have been on 25 cruises with last 13 on Royal Caribbean or Princess. From your experience how is Norwegian overall. Plus any opinions on the Epic would be appreciated. Thanks, Yancycruiser
  15. We have been on Adventure once before and will be cruising on her again in January. It is the perfect size ship for us. No complaints to offer.
  16. Thanks everyone for all your feedback. I should have mentioned that we have been on Oasis, Harmony, and Allure and enjoyed all three.
  17. We are long-time cruisers and Diamond status on RCCL. We will be traveling in January and have two questions: 1. If you have cruised on other OASIS Class ships, did you find Wonder too crowded with children, noise level, etc. more than the other Oasis Class ships? 2. Would we still enjoy WOS at our age 83 and 81; however, in very good health? Thank you, Yancy Cruiser
  18. Good views on both sides. Personally, with two small children, I would definitely do the Junior suite for comfort with a family of four. You would still have a wonderful time and plenty of activities for the children. You will still have a wonderful time with either ship. Have a great cruise!
  19. We were one of the first to experience the new menus earlier this year and had no issues with the menus or quality of food. Like most of you, we can't afford or eat in five star restaurants. Bottom line, in our opinion the food and selection is still very good.
  20. Thanks to all of you for taking time to respond. Happy New Year to you.
  21. I just read an article on internet about Royal Apps and it was available on 17 RCCL ships - the Radiance was not listed. Can anyone confirm that? Thank you.
  22. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. May God continue to bless your family and give you peace.
  23. My opinion, park in the Erato cruise terminal since it is far more convenient. It may cost a little more but you will never be outside.
  24. Thank you Husky 1987. I agree with your assessment and appreciate you taking the time to respond. Happy New Year Washington Husky from a Roll Tide fan.
