And he hasnt even mentioned the weather.
Sounds like the weather wasn't really his point of focus what with his sick daughter. 😕

So if I'm going on cruise with my family of 4, and I purchase 1 internet package for 4 devices, will all 4 of us be able to use the wifi at the same time? or what would happen if I just buy one device for all 4 of us to share?
One device to share can be used on any number of devices, one at a time. So, if you are logged on and someone sharing with you then also logs on, you are disconnected in favor of the newly logged in device.
One package for 4 devices allows up to 4 to be logged in at the same time.

Of course, once I reach diamond, I am going to dream of getting to pinnacle and have bragging rights on the cruise when they announce all the pinnacles on board. I think of it as a bucket list challenge.
The main benefit I like of diamond is getting inside the diamond lounge and feel.special in there.
You wanting to flex your loyalty status as some sort of badge of honor deserving of an attaboy is the exact reason that I've never been in the lounge during HH and I'm D+. If yours is the prevailing attitude, I'm good!

Recently boarded a S2S in Civitavecchia and have previously boarded there, as well. All passports were collected on the last cruise with no explanation given as to why. They were never collected there before. 🤔🤷🏼♀️
Have had my passport collected onboard or at boarding in a number of other scenarios, but, never expected that in Rome.

IMHO....it's simply typical of the whole ship. We are far from sold out. The MDR, WJ, lounges, etc. are never packed up. Elevators easy to grab (even though there are only 6 of them mid ship). Theater never packed either...always easy to find seats.
I wonder why they didn't really attempt to fill the ship leg by leg with price reductions? I've watched the pricing on the legs and as a solo, I never saw an attempt to reduce the solo supplement, which might have made a difference in selling more cabins, at least. I figured the cabins were mostly gone and already taken up by a lot of solos, like longer cruises can sometimes be, while having the overall reduction in pax numbers.

I forgot to mention--we were both given FCC prorated for the days we were in isolation. We were grateful to have a balcony for the natural light and being able to step outside occasionally. We masked when our meals were delivered or when our room steward brought ice/fresh towels.
That's generous, but, I fear it's still not enough incentive for the don't ask/don't tell faction who will continue roaming the ship once they feel up to it while potentially infecting others.

Sometimes I read things and wonder who exactly is in charge?
I'm sorry this happened to you, but, I wouldn't be choosing a ship based on an adolescent fascination, which is likely to be fleeting anyway. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but, my practical nature wouldn't allow me to spend MY hard earned vacation dollars on something I thought was "less than" something else I could've been happier about.

Here's a link, if you'd like to see it. One of my sisters likes to watercolor so I used her paintings instead of photographs.
Just wonderful. Your sister paints so beautifully!

One bartender on Jewel used both Angostura and orange bitters and I make them at home that way now. I order them that way if I see orange bitters at the bar I'm at. Schooner always has them. I need to find a sugar free replacement for the Toroni sugar free syrup which is somehow wrong for my tastes and would welcome your suggestions or recipes for homemade.
Thanks for doing this project! It's really amazing. 👏 👏 👏

What a pity about the Jazz club. I always thought this venue featured the best of the onboard musicians. The Schooner Bar pianists and pub guitarists just haven't been all that great lately for me and the Central Park music too infrequent anymore. And it was nice to rely on having jazz played in one venue without having to comb the dailies to find it.

He's been at the top of the game for 20 years! You'd really have to live under a rock to not have ever heard of him. My boys started wearing his jersey in 2010 or so. And that's saying a lot living in a city that worships it's "real" football team! 🏈⚽️ 😊
@littlebritain
My daughter, OTOH, would proudly wear a Rachel Daly kit, from her days with the Houston team here in the States! We do know a thing or two about this other football. 😉

Does Oasis still have the Jazz Club? Other ships still have it?

Coed and requires a thermal area spa pass to use it, for a fee, of course.

Add another fleet-wide late night food option.
Bonus if they serve breakfast. It's the one thing I crave after very late nights. I think it's a throwback to the all night diners of my youth. Nothing like bacon, eggs, coffee and toast after booze! 😋

You really miss the point don't you? Wow, so you know someone on the ship? So do a lot of people on here. I just asked a simple question. What are their plans when they return?
You keep saying simple question, but, I keep hearing interrogation. We get it. It's not what you would do. Doesn't make it wrong for others.

It should definitely be a slightly lighter color and more translucent than a normal mimosa. That doesn't mean you got the exact right thing. It should have absolut mango and Galliano in it.
Did the 25 day TA on Seashore and no 2 bartenders EVER made it the same. Many eliminated either the Galliano or the mango Absolut. Many never added the cherry. It was mind boggling. I had this problem with the Elderflower Spritz, too.

We've sailed Mera 4 times all in YC. Best deal for specialty is Hola's at $17 pp. Don't know if kid discount. Tons of food. Make advanced reservations. Open lunch and dinner. Butcher's Cut meal also great but more expensive.
Pretty sure that I saw a kids menu. Also, can be ordered a la carte. I spent under $12 and was satisfied. That included 2 tacos, guaC and chips and a tamale.

🪣 3/4 Full
A few on there I have not yet been too, hopefully one day 🌍

Impressive!
I'm somewhere in the upper 50's/lower 60's, but, lost my list in my last phone switch. Just haven't recreated yet. I count countries, emirates and territories, with transits as an *note. Now I'm going to have to do a Capital City list! 🙃

Have you forgotten that when the Ovation of the Seas first came into the fleet they started with a Global Odyssey. We were fortunate enough to sail on two segments from Barcelona to Dubai and then Dubai through the Suez Canal and finally ending in Singapore. that was a total of 45 days, all of the segments were a minimum of 16 days and up from there. This was not billed as a World cruise but did cover the globe. This was in 2016 and I thought at that time the pricing was very good. Of course, the Ovation is a bit larger than the Serenade.
Quantum did similar in 2015 out of New York, so a bit longer than Ovation. I could only do the first TA leg. I recall thinking the prices for the full length were very reasonable relative to what other lines were charging for "World Cruise". When the 17 segments for UWC first came out, some had similar pricing. Some still do!
Attached is the Quantum Itin while the Ovation did:
7-night voyage Southampton-Barcelona, 16-night Barcelona-Dubai, 14-night Dubai-Singapore, then finally a 12-night Singapore-Tianjin.

Twenty-seven of those for me without being on this cruise, but, I sure wouldn't have minded the repeats while exploring the new 38 places. Maybe next time.

Therein lies the problem - if your bank doesn't recognize the device you are using it will always seek verification. If, however, you are using a device that your bank has already verified, not a problem. When we are on a cruise or otherwise away from home, we always use our iPads or iPhones because our bank knows they are verified.
One workaround that we use when travelling internationally is to unlock and then re-lock our cards on the devices we will be using while on vacation before we have to put our phones in airplane mode for the trip..
Device recognition and user authentication is incorporating location data more and more frequently to screen out higher risk login attempts. Your method of unlocking and locking prior to departure may have worked so far, but, do be prepared with an alternative in the future so you're not having to activate an expensive TravelPass on your phone plan, just to receive an SMS. -

Changing the app is something that their IT department would do. And we all know how bad their IT staff is.
Off topic, but, IT departments do nothing without being directed to by their business and it's product managers. After working in IT for 30+ years, I can assure that Product Management believes in the word "Automagically".

Disappointment
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted · Edited by Steeler Nation At Sea
It's the penultimate sentence in the OP's post that says she'd have picked any number of other ships/cruises that would've suited better (presumably, for the rest of the family) were it not for the performer that her daughter likes. Nice gesture aside for her daughter, I read that as a complaint about the regrettable decision she made in the first place.
Rather than giving her a hard time, I was merely agreeing with her and stating my reasons why I probably wouldn't have chosen the cruise she did in the first place. She's still a good mother either way. Taking her kid on a nice cruise vacation and exposing her to the joys of travel into other cultures is always going to be enough! As parents, we don't have to make decisions that aren't necessarily good for the whole family to satisfy our child's every desire or how will they ever learn to cope with a bit of disappointment in life?
Had she picked her cruise based on a performer, which can change, and then stood by it without complaint about better ships being available, I would have not commented the way that I did. C'est la vie, indeed.
