  1. I requested a table for two when I booked our cruise. We have sat with a group before and it was fun to chat and meet new people. However, this time, my husband and I would just really like to be by ourselves. We are cruising with no family or kids this time and just want the 4 days to be quality time with just us. Are they pretty good about accommodating that request? Is there something I should do pre-cruise to make sure that we get the table for two? Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

  2. My wife and I both got the same email yesterday. We are on that same sailing. My DW asked me what do we do about the letter... I said Ignore it. Our checkout time at the Hotel is 11am and Plan to make our way to the terminal at that time. If the personnel at the port have a problem with us arriving at 11 or 11:30, then I'll ask them if they would prefer that we wait out by the curb ;)

Let us know what happens when you get back. I will be dropped off earlier than what I'm sure my email or phone call will tell me. Curious to see if they are going to make us wait or will get us on. Either way is fine if that is what it is but just curious.

  3. So, what happens if you arrive earlier than your boarding time? Do you have to wait? I know I will be there earlier because that is the only time I can be dropped off by family. I will be getting there around 10:30 - 11:00. I am going on Liberty in three weeks so I am sure I will be getting the email or phone call too. Just curious if anyone showed up prior to the designated boarding time and what actually happen.

  4. We have stayed in a promenade room twice - once on deck 6 and once on deck 7. On deck six we were right above one of the bars where they played music until 1:00 in the morning and we could definitely hear it in our cabin. We finally got used to it by the third night. No noise in the deck 7 cabin.

We always try to get a cabin next to or near the elevators and have never been bothered by any noise.

Good to know about the elevators. Thank you!

  5. You should check and see if there are any other cabins available more toward the center of the promenade. I see that your cabin is at the very end where there will be less to see.

Then call either your TA if you had one, or RCCL and see if they can switch you to another cabin you might like better. Worth a try.

Yea, I already tried that. No more rooms available. I will keep looking though. Never know what might pop up.

  6. Just went on the cruise layout to see where our room was and she upgraded us to the deck 7 promenade room #7253 and I see it is right by the elevators. Well, it appears that way in the picture anyway. So, now here is my next questions.....any complaints on elevator noise for people that have stayed right next to an elevator?? Wish I would of seen that before I said yes but my computer was not up at the time for me to look.

  7. Booked an interior room and was upgraded to the interior promenade room. Was excited for the upgrade and thought it would be fun to be in the room and look out to the promenade. When I get back to work I tell my co-worker and she says that would be quite noisy don't you think? Did not even think about that. Anyone stay in these rooms? Are they that noisy?

  8. We have been to Cozumel over a dozen times and every time we get off the ship and rent a jeep for the day. They range from 65.00 to 75.00 for the day. Then we hit up the taco stand across from the pier, it's in the back of a truck and the BEST street tacos I have found on the island, and have NEVER got sick from them. Then we head off on the only road that wraps the island, hitting the beaches and bars. It really is a awesome day!

Skyking, now this is something I would LOVE to do. Is that 65 to 75 pp or Jeep? Where do you rent the Jeep at? And last question, do you rent the jeep with others or would it just be my husband and I? This sounds great to do!!!

  9. I seen on the booking site something about reserving an interior or oceanview room guaratee. Not much price difference from picking the deck and room but was wondering if anyone has done this and worth saving a the few bucks. Just curious. Oh, it also mentions something about a good chance of an upgrade. Did anyone get an upgrade too?

  10. Hi OP,

I always remove the auto tips and pay with cash. I just let the steward and waitstaff know up front not to worry they will get the full amount in cash if they see them removed so they are not left wondering all week. I've also given the steward the choice the first few times for us to leave them on if they prefer just to make sure they were ok with it, and every time they said that cash was better for them, but they are not supposed to say that (I stopped asking after a while and just go ahead and do it now). Never had an issue with service at all.

I appreciate your response. We will tell the steward up front that we removed them and they will get the cash at the end. That is a good idea!!! Thank you!

  11. Your posts are all over the place and starting to get BORING....

Wow, Im sorry. Thought cruise critic was a place you could go and ask questions to more experienced cruisers. Why don't you roll your eyes someplace else. So ridiculous.

  12. So, I called to ask if we can bring travel steamers on board and was told no. I asked again about the seapass account and they told me that you have to put a deposit down for cash accounts. From what everyone is saying, it does not seem you have to until you reach 500 then you go up and pay. So confusing and getting different information from different sources
