  1. A question that Ivi and I believe others have asked about is if accepting the Exceptional Incentive will impact the ability to get refunded by Moceker or their insurance and/or credit card, etc. I have been advised it won’t. Moceker’s process is independent, and they will not reduce the claim by the Exceptional Initiative future cruise credits. Therefore, anyone who has a claim, and is already booked, plans to book a new Crystal Cruise or is thinking of bookng a Crysal Cruise in the time frame in which the booking must be made to quality for the incentive, they lose nothing in doing so. If you decide not to book a cruise it would mean you wouldn’t use the incentive. Keith
  2. From time to time I post photos of wildlife where we live including deer. Today I spotted a couple of deer but I guess a new variation. Keith
  3. Crystal has processed and approved hundreds of the forms submitted and should release them in the next few days. This is done manually so it will take time to get through them. Keith
  4. There is always a solution. Here goes: Yes a portable bathtub available on Amazon for $49.99. Keith
  5. OK something about musicians and Crystal. Our first Crystal Cruise was in July, 2002 on Harmony sailing Alaska R/T San Francisco. Pre-cruise at the Ritz Carlton. One morning we are in the Club Room and at the San Francisco property there is a stair case from the Club Room to the largest suite. Anyway, while in the room, my DW taps me on the shoulder to look up which I do and I am thinking how did they let this bum into the Club Lounge. Face looks very worn and he looks disheveled. Then the light-bulb goes off and I realize it was Mick Jagger. Later that day read he was in San Francisco for a daughter's wedding. Mind you I was not a fan of the Rolling Stones. Often you either were a fan of the Stones or a fan of The Beatles. Similarly growing up you either loved the Yankees or the Mets but rarely both. So while I have never seen a Rolling Stones Concert in-person I can say I was a few feet from the Mick. Keith
  6. Roy, good idea to sail close to land and close to the USA. Thinking of you and sending positive thoughts to continue recovery. Keith
  7. To be absolutely sure have your TA verify with Crystal reservations which version. If you have the old deck plans such as a hard copy brochure you can figure it out from that. If you have a particular ship in mind and even suite we can help you. Keith
  8. Used to be Dryers. Then switched to Ben and Jerry’s. Keith.
  9. Same with Heinz Ketchup. Dropped and then returned. Such problems. Then there is the ice cream.
  10. I don't feel like I have overpaid for any itinerary I have booked on the NC. Once again, each person has to figure out the value of any cruise they book on any line. Same for all purchases and what is not value for someone might be value for another person. By the way value is much more than price. It is based on what you get for the price you have paid and how you value what comes with the price of the cruise. We all value things differently and quite frankly we are all don't have the same reasons for booking a cruise or purchasing most any product.
  11. Nope. I haven't lost money by booking cruises and I don't see the cruises I booked as overpriced. As I have said pricing depends on various factors including itinerary, accommodation and single or double occupancy . I certainly have not lost time nor have many people I know. For some this incentive is great, for others it't not relevant as they are not owed money and for some owed money it doesn't work. Like most tings in live "One size does not fill all". Keith
  12. And that's the major benefit of the program is to those who already had bookings and were owed money. Also if you were on the fence about booking a cruise this is some incentive to do so. You don't lose money when you book a cruise. Rather you spend money. They really didn't have to do this. And no one is forced to utilize it. But as someone who is owed money and who had already booked cruises I am certainly appreciative of it and I know others who are too. Keith

  14. Jonathan same experience here over the years and some don't give up with one call. I can name several lines that do this including mass market, premium, and luxury. In fact, SS called me many times. It started years ago when I spoke with one of their reservation agents and more recently sometime last year when I signed up for a brochure. I did get a call from Crystal but since it didn't say Crystal on called ID I didn't answer it. I later checked and verified it was from Crystal and haven't gotten once since. It's another form of marketing and at least it's a legitimate company versus the inane amount of calls one gets and some related to scamming for sure. Keith
  15. Do you know which group I prefer? First one was in Spain when we visited in 2019. Keith
  16. All cruise lines send out e-mails to promote not only cruises but itineraries not selling well. I am reminded that old Crystal sent out e-mails almost daily but the same is true for some of the other luxury lines. New Crystal has been very selective with e-mails. But there is no question that some cruises have less demand than others for a range of reasons. New Crystal certainly has the challenge that when they released itineraries many people were already booked with other lines and what the bookings are like for each voyage is anyone's guess. No one knows for sure the reason(s) for the new program. If people want to speculate that's fine and I'll give mine. No fact. Just speculation. I believe the major driver was to do something for the customers recognizing that some are out money with the old Crystal. Yes, it could drive some additional bookings but giving a credit is a lot of money off the bottom line. Restarting a cruise line is not easy and it is not easy to start a new line. If they wanted easy they could have called it an entirely different brand and made it a lot different from old Crystal. I am glad they chose the path they did. Already it looks a lot like old Crystal which is what I believe people will find as they add enhancements to make it even better. Many of the answers in the Q&A's is similar to old Crystal. While some questioned their quality I have not seen anything leading me to believe quality will suffer. Reducing overall guest capacity certainly can enhance quality. I think brining back Nobu shows a high emphasis on quality. The former line was moving away from Nobu. Bringing back so many of the former crew shows another commitment to high quality. Anyway, time will tell. New Crystal does have challenges given that the former parent wrecked the stature and image of the former company. They have to overcome that while getting their new ships ready which shows yet another commitment to quality and play a lot of catch up and that includes catch up in the marketplace by being late to the game for 2023 and 2024 while getting all of the things in place including new guest checkin system and other things such as all the shore excursions in place and continuing to hire people. Not easy. A big challenge. Let's see what happens. With each passing day New Crystal is inching closer to the start up of Serenity followed by Symphony. Very exciting IMHO. Keith
  17. All: We can't know for sure the reasons why the list was so long but here is my take. People filed claims for amounts not refunded. This was done along time ago. The ones on the list got refunds. I suspect many didn't think to notify Moecker and/or were so ticked off going through the entire process that they weren't going to followup. This must happen all the time which is why Moecker followups up to confirm whether or not someone got a refund. Keith
  18. Don't Worry......Be Happy...... Keith
  19. You are correct about how the discount works. Also if you do a back to back you get an additional discount. This one was discussed on other threads that it is discounted off the amount less the destination fees and that these fees are included in the pricing on the website. When you book you see it broken out as a separate line item. Keith
  20. Ivi, they sent it to Crystal Society Members. As with all mailings some might not get it. Ivi I have asked about your questions and will let you know what they say. I don't have a general e-mail for NC. Keith
  21. From eight years ago today. Whenever you think you are having a tough day, just be happy you are not alone walking in the forest when you are greeted by this happy fella. It could be your last meal but keep in mind you would be the one on the menu. Keith
  22. If you have one credit you get 20% for one sailing. However, if you have friends and family you wish to book rooms for, for each booking on the same voyage you can apply another sub-credit. So if you have five different bookings all five sub credits can be used on that booking. Tracie's question about multiple claims is a different question. I think I know the answer but don't want to speculate or provide wrong information so I have asked Crystal for clarification on that one. Keith
  23. Thanks Brian. This one was a favorite of many of the people I used to spin with. I do look forward to spinning on the NC. Keith
  24. I am asking. When you say more than one sub credit are you saying more than one credit card charge that was on the same claim or multiple claims? Keith
