  1. The Conquest had it last week. I'm trying to remember who was next to us in Cozumel because they had it too. Actually it was nice to get a cold cup of water after time in port and the walk back down the pier. Overall though it wasn't heavily used. We wonder who the intended audience was too.

We were there last month on the Conquest and the Magic was beside us.

  2. OK - the only other one that may suit is mid-march, but it is a Live "Journey" cruise....does this make a difference? Would the entire cruise be Journey groupies and Journey themed?

What sailing are you referring to on the Live Journey?

  3. On Fareviewer when you read the fine print at the bottom that shows $10 per day OBC, it says it's for NEW BOOKINGS ONLY.

I submitted the form & it was rejected. I then called the # on the rejection letter and received the price drop & OBC. I figured I'd play dumb is they told me the reason it was rejected was that it was not a new booking.

Same here. I did a mock booking and called my PVP to see if I could do this since I was already booked on our March sailing. He took care of things and we got $120.00 OBC. He has always taken good care of us.
  4. Hey Mike, I have had that happen to me on a repo cruise I have for March. I have ES for that but am VERY doubtful I will see a price drop. But am VERY happy with the rate I paid (900 for 14 days). Enjoy your cruises. Steve

We originally had the March 15th Pride sailing booked also, but switched to the March 2 sailing of the Triumph. So I should show up on your roll call somewhere.

  5. Just booked back to back cruises on different ships out of Miami (Glory/Breeze). Anyone have experience with this good or bad? Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I will be doing this in about three weeks. I have never been on either ship, one with 2.0 upgrades , one without.

  6. Now on the Triumph as of 8/14 per PVP Serenity Deck? No mention of any other upgrades.

  7. I recently returned from our 12th cruise aboard Carnival. We are burnt out. Seems to be ok food, ok service and the "extras" are going away slowly. What is the difference in the two? Are the dining room dress codes enforced or not? Lots of people on this past cruise wore shorts and t-shirts to main dining supper.

I am also venturing out into different waters, need a change. I am going solo in January 2015 on the Vision. We have been on the Majesty back in 2008. Looking forward to a new adventure.

  8. Back in January we were on the Valor. We booked an aft wrap. We were called about a month before and were offered a COMPLIMENTARY upgrade to a OS, no charge. Since we have never had an OS we did change. It was a week later we had another call, the upgrade fairy and was offered a GS for $250 total, which we did take. These call were the first ones we have had after 17 Carnival cruises.

  9. The passport needs to be valid for 6 months after the cruise. If it is a closed loop cruise, then an original birth certificate and government picture ID will work.

We sailed on the Valor January 19-26, our passports expired February 8, nothing was said about it. When we disembarked. the customs agent asked us if we knew they expired in two weeks, that's it.
