Instead of doing away with tried and true favorites (like live steel drum music, nightly sushi tasting, fish and chips on some ships) why not do away with this cheesy tradition? I mean, Carnival is all about change lately so why can't they figure out a new poolside contest already? I admit it can be kind of funny (especially when my mom was a judge) but my point is- I don't think this would bother ANYONE if they replaced it!

My wife would be bothered, she usually WINS! :eek:

Off the Paradise on December 5 and it was the cooler/beach bag, very nice.

I received three calls on Wednesday while we were out and about, one voicemail. It was Carnival saying that I was on a list ( I'm always on a list) for a "complimentary upgrade". I thought ya ya, for how much. She did call back the following day. I HAD a aft wrap, that apparently they wanted. Long enough story, I did upgrade to an Ocean Suite at NO COST to me. It was a tough decision, but decided to go for it.

The CD is on the bottom of the list when I book a cruise.

Would like to hear more about the Paradise. Have been on the Fascination, trying to decide between the Paradise and the Fascination with an 18 yr old, 15 yr old and 9 yr old. Paradise goes to Grand Cayman and Fascination goes to Bahamas. Trying to decide between the 2 ships and the different ports. Any help would be appreciated. May be the only family cruise we ever do as my oldest will graduate this year.

We are thinking about this ship at the end of ship because we have family in Tampa area and therefore saving on hotel/car cost. Would love to hear details as well?

Just off the Paradise December 5th, this was the second leg of a back to back. I found the ship to be in great shape, for being one of the older ones. Food was very good, no complaints. Service was good as usual, stateroom service was excellent. Room service was better than previous, quite good actually. I cruised solo, so your activities would probably differ from what I did. They had two good shows, one was country. And a REAL orchestra. The CD, Steve, played the fiddle in the country show, he was very talented with this instrument.

Nothing really bad about the cruise. My preference would be doing the Western Caribbean, just my opinion.

That would be eating, not dining.

Food into your mouth, down to your to your stomach, eatin, dining, whatever ya want to call it, who cares.

Doesn't make the food taste any better, who cares.

Just off the Paradise last Thursday and they still have them.

Found the pins I needed. They were stuffed in a drawer, where I found them when doing winter cleaning!

I am on The Paradise on the 21st doing a B2B-2B-2B, you could of had a couple of these pins.

I have a miracle (funnel) and a breeze inaugural pin. Also have a red or blue Lanyard and Key chain (in box) carnival gave us for our anniversary cruise. (not sure if they still have them.

Looking for the imagination and Ecstacy funnel pins

Here's what I have for an Ectasy pin, don't know if this is what you want.

I just booked a back to back solo on the Paradise for 10 days. This is from 11-25, $353 total over Thanksgiving. On the second leg 11-30, it was $243 total. Older ship, haven't been on it, thought this was a good solo price. It is a !A stateroom, same room for both legs. I'm happy with the pricing.

I'm STILL looking for the new PLATINUM pin! Anyone want to trade? I have a Spirit pin and a Triumph pin to trade for one!

If anyone has a Fascination 2000 or undated, Destiny or Jubilee I have several I can trade for including Splendor, Conquest, Valor, Spirit, Triumph. I know Jubilee is harder to find so if you know someone that is even selling one at a reasonable price let me know.

Have been in contact with Kerryman50 (Jim) and his Triumph pin will be in the mail this morning. I also have a couple of Victory pins that are looking for a good home, already house broken. :eek:
