  1. Hi Bonnie. I have been eyeing the 2 below sailings on Journey for a little while and just noticed today that they are no longer listed on the website.

Can you tell me if the 2 below sailings on Journey were chartered or are sold out?

Aug 2, 2016 - 7 night Greek Islands (Istanbul to Athens)

Aug 9, 2016 - 10 night Summer Holiday (Athens to Istanbul)

    Thanks so much!

  2. Moving this thread up:

Does anyone know if the PDF of Summer Collection 2016 is being circulated now or this coming week? I know sales open on March 4 (I believe that's the date) but normally we can see the itineraries well before then.

I'm seeing "coming soon" on lots of sites but haven't actually seen the schedule.

I think a few of you have seen them so hoping if you can share where :)

    Thanks!

  3. Hi Mike. Hope this makes sense: the "Find A Cruise" section. I prefer the older version as it would show a small map in the search results where you could see the itinerary map and all the ports. Now the new version lists a picture with scenery and you have to click on each listing to see the map of ports. I know there is a small map listed on each itinerary after you click on it, but I liked that you could see the map first so you could narrow down what you want to click. This way I can eliminate many itineraries so I don't need to click on each one. Just a suggestion. Thank you!

  4. We have seen the itineraries She starts in Mediterranean and then comes across Atlantic and does some east coast cruises. She then does Brazil panama canal and Mexico

Hi bitob. Is there a link you can share with the 2016 schedule? I'm anxious to see them! Seems like such a long wait. Thanks!!

  5. Why is Oceania always so late with their releases?

Seabourn, Silversea, Crystal, Azamara, NCL, Celebrity, and so on have had their 2016 voyages posted for quite some time. Crystal and Azamara even have 2017 posted!

  6. Hi UKBayern, thanks for your note. Yes, I did post something similar a while back. Just was hoping for some fresh comments.

Most of the posts last time were about Bodrum and Marmaris. I was hoping to get more responses regarding Kas and Fethiye. And Cesme is a new request so I haven't heard anything from Cruise Critic about that port.

Figured it was worth trying again and hoping some cruisers stopped there this past summer season. Have a great day.

  7. Hello everyone! I am looking at future itineraries on Azamara and see that they have a cruise that stops in Sitia, Crete (among some other interesting Turkish ports). Sitia is very far east in Crete, more removed from the normal tourist sites.

Has anyone has been to Sitia?

Would be happy to hear your reviews and thoughts.

    Thanks!

    Joe

  8. Hello everyone! I am looking at future itineraries on Azamara and see that they have some very interesting ports in Turkey....some I have never been to and am curious about.

Has anyone has been to Fethiye, Kas or Cesme? The photos I've found when searching look beautiful.

Would be happy to hear your reviews and thoughts if these are worthwhile ports to consider.

    Thanks!

    Joe

  9. Hello everyone! I am looking at future itineraries on Azamara and see that they have some very interesting ports in Greece....some I have never been to and am curious about.

Has anyone has been to Skiathos, Thessaloniki or Hydra?

Would be happy to hear your reviews and thoughts if these are worthwhile ports to consider.

    Thanks!

    Joe

  10. Is Regent ever going to release more info on the ship itself other than just one photo? What about deck plan, interior renderings, etc. Just seems like the wait is so long. Viking released photos of their new ship and interiors and deck plan in 2013 and their first sailing is this April.

  11. Thanks Michael for your great review. My partner and I are also considering our first Azamara cruise. Was wondering how you felt Azamara compared with Crystal (as we are also considering Crystal). Would you choose one over the other now?

So the lunch buffet wasn't great? I must admit, I always enjoy a good buffet after a long morning in port. Was it the food quality or the lack of choices? I'd love to hear from others as well on what they think of the lunch buffet.

    Thanks again!

  12. Thank you Heather and Mura for "setting the scene" on the R ships. I think I will definitely give them a try. I'm not too worried about losing the extra 2 restaurants or the culinary center (I cook enough at home). I do like how the R ships have a little bit of a lower outside promenade deck. That is something I do miss on Riviera/Marina.

Yes, I do live and work in Manhattan and it's certainly a great city! I love being here and at the same time I love getting away from here. :)

  13. Hi Heather. I remember reading your Riviera review in 2013 and thought to myself "what a nice lady, someone who truly appreciates what's important." And once again I find your Regatta review more of the same. Thanks for sharing!

Would you say that you like the Riviera as much as Regatta? Do you have a preference? I've only sailed on Riviera and Marina (and booked Riviera again in 2015) and am considering the smaller ships in 2016.

    Thanks again!

  14. Prior to the announcement I also posted that I no longer trust what NCL says.

Hi Jackie. I'm still curious about what you mean regarding this. If you have time please elaborate. I was most surprised when you said earlier that 2016 may be your last Regent cruise. Would love to know what you know or are sensing. Thanks!

  15. I haven't mention NCL. I am quite intuitive and, unfortunately, do not see anything positive with this change in ownership. I simply do not trust what they have said in terms of the future of Regent (or Oceania). It does not help me or anyone reading this thread to buy into the negativity so I will not go into it. It is quite possible that our last Regent cruise will be in 2016. In terms of Oceania, we knew that this would be our last Oceania cruise before we booked it (simply too many benefits on Regent to sail any other cruise lines) .

Hi Jackie. I am surprised to hear you say this because you have always been such a Regent and Oceania cheerleader. You have been the one who has remained most optimistic about the NCL takeover and have always had faith in the cruise line and experience. I would love to know what has changed and so quickly. I have 3 Oceania cruises booked and knowing this info would really help. Appreciate your time on here while on vacation. Thank you!

  16. My wife can't live without Peanut Butter, she eats it everyday.

Every cruise we have been on, she has been served peanut butter. All she had to do is ask! :)

Hi Jack. Was your wife able to get something better than the Smuckers mini-packets? I too love my PB but really dislike Smuckers! Too much bad stuff in it. Hoping for something more natural & less hydrogenated oils!

    Would love to know. Thanks!

  17. There are no plans to offer reduced deposits for 2017, that I know of. The only way to get a reduced deposit it to book a future cruise while on-board. Are you sailing with us anytime soon?

Thanks Bonnie. I have never sailed with Azamara but I'm intrigued. How soon can we see the 2017 port stops? Are they only viewable starting on Dec 8? Thanks!

  18. I agree given that potential charterers are being shown round the vessels as we speak we have to see these are the potential itineraries only for the foreseeable future and not get too attached to a particular cruise or cruises

I agree. I'm hoping they can at least offer reduced deposits for the 2017 dates. Don't want to put out a full deposit on something that may be chartered.
