Laraine, did you hear anything about your Sept b2b? Did you decide to cancel?
-
On board booking deposit is non refundable. They say it over and over.

Eeek...the craziness continues!

Wow Laraine! This is crazy. I'm worried that Azamara may not be able to give you the answer you want in regards to your September b2b. The other thread concerns me in that they changed a sailing to a charter 9 months out. That can happen again, right?
I've never sailed Azamara and I'm likely not going to book now. I want peace of mind before I board the ship.
Keep us posted on your progress and hang in there!

Thanks Terry for this great info....I'm following this as well. I've been eyeing a fantastic Azamara itinerary in 2016 that includes many ports on the beautiful Turkish Riviera (Turquoise Coast). I'm very concerned now and not sure I'm going to book this given the many future "unknowns."
Turkey may turn out to be one of those places that would constantly have to be watched on the news to make sure it's ok to go!
-
Do you think Turkey will possibly become one of those places that is not the safest place to visit? With the election over and the possibility of a "new Turkey" emerging, I have my questions and doubts (shame to say).
What do you think?

We all have different requests. Open up another thread asking for a website overhaul. No need to shoot mine down friends.

Thanks so much Terry, what beautiful photos!
Would you have any info on Fethiye or Kas? Those seem very off the beaten path.
-
Thanks Bonnie!! (And all). Hope you enjoy the fresh sea air...I'm envious :)
-
Thanks Maryann. I'm intrigued by these ports....not the usual cruise ports and off the beaten path places. They look beautiful! I'm all for it....I'm just trying to convince my partner to go....he's not so sure about these places.
Appreciate your info! :)

Thanks leo178. Exactly...there is a sofa closer to the door. I'm just looking to know which side of the stateroom the bed and bathroom are on since you can't tell by looking at the deck plan.
No biggie....just was curious if there was a plan somewhere.

Moving this thread up.
Was hoping for more views on Fethiye, Kas and Marmaris.
I'm looking at an Azamara cruise that hits these spots. Hoping these are worthwhile port stops and not just small beach towns full of gift shops....the norm in the Aegean ports.
Thanks so much!

Nope!

Any feedback on either of these islands/ports? I'm considering a cruise that hits these 2 spots. I've been to all the usual Greek cruise spots but not these 2.
Thanks for your info!

Good day Bonnie! Is there a chart that could possibly be shared with Cruise Critic that shows stateroom configuration - specifically which side the bed and bathroom are on?
We have a thread dedicated to cabin info but the spreadsheet doesn't really capture which side the bed is on.
Personally, I like to pick a stateroom based on which side the bed is on....so my side of the bed is closer to the sliding door! Hopefully there are others that would agree.
Does this chart exist?
Thanks!!

Good day! Does anyone know what side the bed is on in stateroom 7026? I'm hoping it's on the right side. Any info is greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

As we all know, according to the chat with Larry last week, the 2016 schedule likely will be changed due to the charters.
My question is are the sailings that are able to be booked (those not during the charter period) safe to book as scheduled? Will those itineraries be changing?
Thanks!

Would be great to hear any updates on possible future refurbishments to the ships, comments on the 2016 charters and the tweaked itineraries left for us, and perhaps introducing the new promotion starting.
Bonnie, could Larry possibly comment on those if we can't join the chat?
Thanks!

Thanks Bonnie! I'll take it! Will all 2015 sailings be included?

Question for "R" ship enthusiasts:
The bathrooms in the standard verandah rooms are quite small (along with the balcony with that large table in the way). I'm not sure 2 weeks in that small bathroom would work so that brings me up to a Club Continent Suite. It appears ALL the Club Continent suites are below the pool and Windows Cafe. I usually only book staterooms on decks that are in between 2 decks of rooms. I'm not interested in anything larger than a Club Continent Suite. Help! It appears that there really isn't an option for a quiet Club Continent Suite!

Thanks Andy and Deidre!

Hi Bonnie. Was wondering if there is a new promotion coming in August or September? I missed the great double upgrade opportunity that was in place earlier...hoping for something similar. :)
Thanks!
-
Pam, I agree...I'm a little nervous of the Bay of Biscay...especially in September when there could be things churning in the Atlantic as September is peak hurricane season!

Hi Wendy. Yes, the 8.5.15 itinerary is Barcelona to Monte Carlo but it's actually the 14 day one (additional 7 nights Monte Carlo to Rome). I just did Rome On Your Own on the Riviera earlier this month and it actually wasn't very hot....maybe we got lucky. It's a long day for sure but Rome is always worth it.
The best thing for me about sailing in the Med during the summer is the wonderfully warm soothing breezes on board when sailing at night and the early morning. It's so nice to wake up early in the morning and go out on the balcony barefoot for the sail in and not have one chill. Love it!
I think Bruin Steve has the best idea....I don't have to choose....I can always do the other the following year. =)

Hello Don and thanks for the great suggestion! However I am seeing that the Mediterranean Serenade itinerary is in 2014 and not 2015. That would have been ideal....but I don't think I could do 20+ days as I'm still in the working world (ugh)! Ah....can't wait for the day when I can do as you brilliantly have suggested!

AzamaraJoel: I haven't seen the revised 2016 itineraries posted on Azamara's website. You mentioned they would be live today. Any info? Thanks!
