  1. Wow Laraine! This is crazy. I'm worried that Azamara may not be able to give you the answer you want in regards to your September b2b. The other thread concerns me in that they changed a sailing to a charter 9 months out. That can happen again, right?

I've never sailed Azamara and I'm likely not going to book now. I want peace of mind before I board the ship.

Keep us posted on your progress and hang in there!

  2. Thanks Terry for this great info....I'm following this as well. I've been eyeing a fantastic Azamara itinerary in 2016 that includes many ports on the beautiful Turkish Riviera (Turquoise Coast). I'm very concerned now and not sure I'm going to book this given the many future "unknowns."

Turkey may turn out to be one of those places that would constantly have to be watched on the news to make sure it's ok to go!

  3. Any feedback on either of these islands/ports? I'm considering a cruise that hits these 2 spots. I've been to all the usual Greek cruise spots but not these 2.

    Thanks for your info!

  4. Good day Bonnie! Is there a chart that could possibly be shared with Cruise Critic that shows stateroom configuration - specifically which side the bed and bathroom are on?

We have a thread dedicated to cabin info but the spreadsheet doesn't really capture which side the bed is on.

Personally, I like to pick a stateroom based on which side the bed is on....so my side of the bed is closer to the sliding door! Hopefully there are others that would agree.

    Does this chart exist?

    Thanks!!

  5. As we all know, according to the chat with Larry last week, the 2016 schedule likely will be changed due to the charters.

My question is are the sailings that are able to be booked (those not during the charter period) safe to book as scheduled? Will those itineraries be changing?

    Thanks!

  6. Question for "R" ship enthusiasts:

The bathrooms in the standard verandah rooms are quite small (along with the balcony with that large table in the way). I'm not sure 2 weeks in that small bathroom would work so that brings me up to a Club Continent Suite. It appears ALL the Club Continent suites are below the pool and Windows Cafe. I usually only book staterooms on decks that are in between 2 decks of rooms. I'm not interested in anything larger than a Club Continent Suite. Help! It appears that there really isn't an option for a quiet Club Continent Suite!

  7. Hi Wendy. Yes, the 8.5.15 itinerary is Barcelona to Monte Carlo but it's actually the 14 day one (additional 7 nights Monte Carlo to Rome). I just did Rome On Your Own on the Riviera earlier this month and it actually wasn't very hot....maybe we got lucky. It's a long day for sure but Rome is always worth it.

The best thing for me about sailing in the Med during the summer is the wonderfully warm soothing breezes on board when sailing at night and the early morning. It's so nice to wake up early in the morning and go out on the balcony barefoot for the sail in and not have one chill. Love it!

I think Bruin Steve has the best idea....I don't have to choose....I can always do the other the following year. =)

  8. Hello Don and thanks for the great suggestion! However I am seeing that the Mediterranean Serenade itinerary is in 2014 and not 2015. That would have been ideal....but I don't think I could do 20+ days as I'm still in the working world (ugh)! Ah....can't wait for the day when I can do as you brilliantly have suggested!
