So, what's not to share. Fares are un-bookable until a later date.

I thought this board was to be helpful. So, share!

I totally agree with you! I was thinking that earlier when I was told to get a good travel agent.....really?! It’s just a pdf, what’s the big secret? Geez, chill out.

Lots of people do at this point, but your question is awkward for us because the "early look" Itineraries come with a specific request not to share them.

Get thee to a good Travel Agent.  🤫

Historically someone usually posts them here.  Just thought I'd ask.  Didn't realize this was an awkward ask.  I'll wait then, no big deal.

Wow!  Equal to an Assisted Living institution.   Hope not. We are headed for Sirena next week.  Food sounds ominous.

Seriously, not even close.  The food is very good and there are many choices.  These people just need something else in their lives to bellyache about.

We just got off Edge this past Sunday...our SV was on deck nine...no noise from Eden, but it was the first cruise we were on where our balcony had soot.  Of course, that was also on the cushions outside the Oceanview Café and up near the Rooftop Garden Grill.

I wouldn't hesitate to grab the SV!

Yikes, soot on the balcony!!??  I just booked a SV on the Apex Transatlantic in May, 2021.  I'm planning on spending lots of time enjoying the view.  But will I also be breathing in soot?

  5. Wanted to get your advice on an issue I'm having.  We booked a 2021 cruise and decided to move it to 2020.  The deposit was transferred and they took $200 off the deposit and applied a future cruise credit.  I found it strange they would penalize for a transfer.

We are now unable to take the 2020 cruise due to a work engagement so we cancelled.  Regent is now keeping $200 per person penalty.  They advised that transferring a deposit to a new booking is a cancellation.

Seriously.....I feel this is sneaky.  In my opinion, a transferred deposit is not a refund or a cancellation.  I'm happy to honor the $100 per person penalty but feel doubling that isn't right.

What do you think?  Am I wrong?

you can view some menus from past years  at the Preisman's blog

I am sure Mike will post some current ones  when he returns

I cannot remember  having 12  entrees unless you count the always available  Chicken, Salmon & steak  dishes

Thank you for posting the old GDR menus.  Wow, I forgot how great they were.  They are indeed very different from today's menus.  The older menus had more choices and definitely are more varied and interesting.  I haven't sailed since 2016 and let me tell you, I will miss these menus.

I have travelled on the Marina 4 times and have just returned from the last of these. On this latest trip it was certainly apparent that some cost cutting had been brought in. The largest change was with the Afternoon tea, which used to be a highlight but is now a very pale imitation of what it was only a few months ago. With an intensifying competitive environment and Oceania's prices rising, this feels like a wrong move that will be felt the most by those that have been loyal to the company.

I’m anxious to hear more. Can you say anything else about where you are seeing cost cutting? I’m booked on Marina in 2020 and seriously thinking of giving Regent a try instead.

  8. I wanted to move this thread up to see if anyone has any recent thoughts about the menu selections and overall GDR and Terrace experiences.

Has there been any improvements since the new menus rolled out last year? Are things still being repeated every few days?  I know many have not been thrilled with the reduction of menu choices in the GDR and Terrace and others not happy with the quality of food.  Many have said the GDR and Terrace are not the Oceania they knew.

My last cruise with Oceania was in 2016 and I have something booked for 2020.  Of course I'm concerned because the dining is one of the main reasons I like Oceania.  Let me know your thoughts.  Thanks!

Just came back from a cruise on Marina in the Baltic. Internet was bad to non existent in our stateroom. Best in marina lounge. Sometimes logout/login helped. No internet on balcony. Would also prefer keeping the lobster in Waves :-).

Food was great, but we missed the choices in the MDR - definitively sth, OC should think about. Speciality restaurants were great - only red ginger not so good as on Sirena - and the ambiente very dark. TC was outstanding.

Glad you had a great cruise.  What do you mean you missed the choices in the MDR?  Are there really less choices?  How many dinner choices are there now?  I haven't been on Oceania since 2016 and we have a cruise booked in 2020 and I'm worried that our dining experience will be very different than what we are used to.  Any details are greatly appreciated!  Thanks.

    May 2020

    Thank you!

Is it just me or does anyone else feel that the Marina and Riviera aren't getting the renovation attention they deserve?  I mean, the R ship rooms are completely different and looks pretty great.  Riviera and Marina's rooms are certainly nice....but I can't believe they still have those drapes in the PH categories on Riviera and Marina.  My last cruise was in 2016 and there were holes in them.  And the cabinets are definitely worn.  A new sofa and rug is it??!!

From what I have seen (USA market), the fares won't start to adjust until 12 months (+/-) before sailing.  If you are in US market you don't have much risk booking early.

We have 3 booked in Europe summer of 2020, way over priced and we knew that going in.  But we can wait for the expected fire sale and will rebook (US customers can do so once at no penalty) at that time or walk away.

Good point, I'll consider this.  Is your 2020 cruise also as high per day?  Also....for cancellations no matter how far out....$75 pp per cruise for my back to back totals $300 cancellation....not thrilled with that.  I like Oceania's cancellation policy, no charge when far out.

  12. Thanks all, appreciate your insight....I fully agree.  I'm an early planner and there aren't many released summer 2021 itineraries out there right now....none that look that great to me, except this one.  It's still early, there will be more to come by the fall I guess.  I'm going to wait....not paying that much, no way.

  13. I am "holding" a 14 day - 2021 Pursuit cruise roundtrip Rome (7 day Italy intensive and 7 day France intensive).  I'm holding a V2 category.  Love the itinerary.  Not thrilled it's in August, but I can work with that.  The price is $1114 per day for 2 people.  Seriously....that's high for a non-luxury brand and an older ship and one that does not include premium drinks.  Anyone else agree?  This would be my first Azamara.  Not sure I'm booking it now.
