    Why NCL?

    Free-style is the key. No assigned eating times unless YOU want to reserve a specific time at a specialty restaurant (all of which are WONDERFUL if you do go that route).

     

     

     

    I'm a guy, and I wanted nothing to do with special dress-up nights. On NCL all you have to do is make sure you wear long pants at the main dining rooms or the specialty restaurants. Jeans are fine. Otherwise shorts are fine at the buffets, etc.

     

     

     

    The thought of having to share a table with someone I don't know (as in assigned eating) horrifies me. I like to meet new people, but what if you get stuck with someone who doesn't let you get a word in edgewise throughout the entire meal. No thanks. I can't risk the possibility of that happening. NCL for me ALWAYS! :):):)

     

     

     

    I guess in my experience these things aren’t unique to NCL (maybe they were at one time). I’ve had a table for two with no assigned dining time and not dressed up on Carnival and RCL.

    Not surprising your reaction since you are a dedicated Carnival cruiser. :rolleyes:

     

    Me, I wouldn't take a Carnival cruise even if it was free. Too many of my friends who took their first cruise on Carnival refuse to take another cruise, even with other cruise lines. They were that unimpressed. I trust their judgment.

     

     

     

    I’ll take your free cruise any day. Please let me know if you’re offered one.

    Prescription meds

    No; it’s born out of law. It is simply illegal to be in possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. Yes, it’s unlikely anyone will realize you have a controlled substance and challenge if you have it legally. But it’s so simple to carry that medication on a prescription bottle to prove it’s legal. In this day and age of the opioid crisis; you don’t want to be in possession of one without proof it’s yours.
