I’ve been on the Grand Classica (before renamed Margaritaville) 4 times and have never noticed the sewage smell in cabins. We try to get a cabin on deck 5 or 6, not dec 4.

We have been on about 20 of the cruises out of West Palm Beach, on the 3 ships that have sailed out of there since 2010 or so. It is a matter of convenience, living about 20 miles from the port. I figured that Margaritaville at Sea would eventually have the 2 for 1 fares, to try and fill the ship. Since you primarily sail Princess, it would be best to not have high expectations for Margaritaville. It is a 30 yo ship, with few of the amenities that the larger, newer ships offer. A couple of things that we do like: Wine tasting on first day, champagne breakfast first morning, (if still having these) and usually a decent band in the evening in one of the lounges. Also the cabins are rather large for the size ship. Over the years, we have gotten to know several crew members and look forward to seeing them. Look at a lot of review videos, as there were several media cruises, with opinions positive and negative. Good luck!! As for MSC, is one of my favorite cruise lines, having been on 4 MSC cruises, 3 booked for next year. They are very international and a lot of the guests are from Europe. They have a very different pricing structure than other cruise lines. I could go on, but this is not the MSC forum.

Well, things may be getting slow for Margaritaville at Sea, 2 for 1 sale through December 16!!

We always buy luggage that looks like something you would not buy, loud color etc.

Yes, the burgers are good, but I would have to be near starvation to stand in that long of a line!

While we have not experienced the loud neighbor issue, we have had what seemed as continued weed smoking on adjacent balconies. This was to the point that we could not use our balcony without smelling the smoke. I figure if I want the low prices Carnival offers, this is one of the downsides to the low prices!

If you enjoy bourbon: Bourbon Smash or Gold Rush, both are refreshing cocktails! If you like root beer and can find at a bar, bourbon and root beer. Sounds bad, but quite delicious!!

Most of the favorable reviews I have seen on the Internet are from the media, who did not pay for the cruise. I think that as the “newness” of the branding wanes, the pricing will start to get lower. Cruisers who have been on larger, modern ships will be disappointed in this 30 year old ship, and the lack of bars, venues, and restaurants. Before renaming, we were sailing Grand Classica with buy one get one and 5 free drinks. I want to cruise on this ship, but will wait for price reductions. Since we live in West Palm, we use this as a weekend getaway from it all trip.

There is also a 2nd pool, adults only. I think the capacity for double occupancy is somewhere around 1600 to 1700.

Agree, My wife makes me carry her buffet plates to the table!!! LOL
