  1. I checked with the office at the pier. Right now anyone with a cruise Passanger ID can enter International Port to go to Margaritaville. They are still working on a way to allow locals.

  2. I would save Chicken pizza for another trip, You will have very little time to see everything. It is a 3 hour trip each way, hoping there are no road checks or accidents on the way. Tulum is beautiful and the pictures you can take of the beach from up on the cliff will be awesome.

  3. First question??? Chicken Pizza (lol) tour is from which port? If it is from Cozumel, do not do it. If it is from Progresso than go see it. Tulum is much different and is on the beach, which you will not get to enjoy as time is limited on the tour.

  4. Forum Shops are closed. DI moved into new building in front of the zocolo/square. Tell taxi to drop you at El Museo, tour the museum and then walk south to the zocolo. Mission is one block south of the square where you turn left on Rosado Salas Street. Mission is just a few doors from the corner. Speaking asd a local, I love their food.

  5. The gossip here is that we are getting a TGIFridays at the old Margaritaville site. Not sure about entering IP for Margaritaville but I am going to IP for new badge today and I will ask.

  6. What is the big deal? They are just 3 wheeled Motorcycles. I hope they do it as a tour and do not just rent them out. It is a nightmare here sometimes with tourists who do not know the roads or how to ride, rent scooters. Injuries and deaths because of this are common, so be careful.

  7. I booked a car for $7 + $18 insurance from Alamo for my cruise next month. Anyone have any experience booking through them online? The email confirmation says its $31.32. Will I pay more than that?

LMAO...Please do come back here and let us know how this turns out. I prefer the deductable with Rentadora Isis because I KNOW that she is honest and will only charge actual costs of repairs. I lost keys one time and she charged me $2 to replace them. She is also one of very few who will come to the police station and argue with them. Beware, there have been cases where people had insurance, or at least paid for it, but when they got hurt in an accident there was no insurance because the rental office pocketed the money.

  8. If you are going into town just go to the Zocolo (square). Facing away from the water at the clock end of the park, walk straight 2 doors from the corner on the right. Not the corner with the 7/11 but the one with restaurants. There is a jewelry store , it may say black coral. Just go in there and tell him you want to exchange money. It is done behind closed doors because they have not taken care of the new ridicules government fees. Ask for Asolfo

  9. NO, the collision or whatever it is called. I would play it safe and contact Margarita at Rentadora Isis because she includes all insurance with I think a $400 deductible. She is also one of the few that can be depended on to show up and help you in case of an accident.

  10. The car rental idea is best, but PLEASE get insurance. The same Tequila store has a branch right at International pier. Be sure to stop at the Humane Society Kiosk and say Hi to me. Also we should have our Cat Cafe open at the pier by end of this week, come play with the kittys.

  11. I do not want to get in trouble with CC, so here is just a bit of info. On the site of faces lol search for Humane Society of Cozumel. Same for Google for the website. We are a very large organization with mostly Mexican employees and 50/50 Mex/Gringo volunteers. Free spay and neutering or by donation. Very far reaching adoption program thru North America. Self and donation funded.
