  1. LOL, c'mon she's not that bad. Ranking HMC girl, the horse, and Ms. Trieste, I'll take Ms. Trieste and then the horse.
  2. $20 if you use the bidet and report out on the experience (photos not necessary).
  3. You, sir, have mastered the art of pre-cruise anticipation fascination.
  4. LOL, I don't remember black chairs. I was thinking about the cafe in the main part of the piazza, across from the cafe with red chairs and the campanile - yellow.
  5. I think the cover charge is only at night - not 100% sure that's the difference. But I remember the cafe with the red chairs. Do you remember the color of the chairs at the other large cafe across the piazza?
  6. Paul, even if you guys visit Piazza San Marco in the daytime, I hope you get back there at night just to walk around the piazza and listen to the live outdoor concertos (free as long as you don't sit). The piazza's acoustics makes the music even more romantic. Piazza San Marco at night is probably my favorite place in the world to visit over and over. Careful about sitting down at the outdoor cafes where the musicians are playing though, we once paid a $50 coperto just for sitting down - that was ten years ago. So excited to follow along because this itinerary is one I've been wanting to do for years.
  7. Only for limited purposes (e.g., ASC718). Explain the purpose of filing QSLOBs with the IRS/DOL if the employees are to be treated the same. A QSLOB filing ensures the employees are treated as being employed by separate entities for specific purposes.
  8. I see what you did there, at the end. 😁 🏴‍☠️
  9. "Oooo what do I win?" asked the degenerate rat.
  10. Not exactly. First, let's clarify that there are two Carnivals. 1. There's the parent company, Carnival Corporation, which trades as CCL on the NYSE. 2. There's the cruise line operator, Carnival Cruise Line, which is a subsidiary of CCL, just like GCO, Costa and Princess are (among others). To some this may appear to be semantics or technical, but to some of us who have worked for S&P 500 companies, the distinction is not blurry. I've worked at two large US companies my entire life - Marriott (parent company) and a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary named GEICO (both headquartered here) and both drafted and assisted with corporate tax filings, 5500s, QSLOBs, etc. where the distinction between the parent company and the subsidiaries is material every day in many ways. Qualitatively, I asked a few dealers and casino supervisors who they work for and the one time a dealer said Carnival, the supervisor corrected him. So I asked who their paycheck comes from and they both acknowledged it was Global Casino, and they don't go through the same training, etc. that Carnival employees go through, nor are they hired by the same hiring teams, they have different benefits, etc. From Carnival Cruise Line's website: Carnival Cruise Line is proud to be part of a family of companies owned by Carnival Corporation, which includes sister lines Princess Cruises, Holland America Line and Cunard Line, among others.
  11. First Mate: Captain, it's an emergency! The casino rats are revolting again! Captain: Make an announcement, number one. Casino is closed until all valued guest shower.
  12. This is all correct. GCO is part of the PARENT COMPANY, not part of Carnival Cruise Line. Looking for a job? They have openings and a public job fair June 13.
  13. The Casino is operated by Global Casino Services, the space allocation done via contract with Carnival. The Casino dealers and staff are mostly GCS employees, not Carnival. The bar staff and wait staff are Carnival employees. Follow the link Global Casino Services (zendesk.com) and scroll to the bottom of the page to view the cruise lines GCS services.
  14. Not sure about taxes, but I always ask for my $25 LOAN (not income) at the cashier, promising to pay it back in full, plus LOTS of interest, in seven days or less. 😁 🏴‍☠️
  15. In other cutback news, Carnival is delighted to announce that after the successful removal of tablecloths, they will now be getting rid of tables in the MDR. Valued guests will instead be issued improved dual purpose bed comforters that will also serve as picnic blankets ("CPB's). Guests will be required to bring their CPB's or entry to MDR will be denied. Carnival is pleased to announce this new aspect of FUN.
