Thanks for reminding us some don't celebrate and some celebrate in October! It's not rain on the parade, it's just one more thing to be thankful for! It's like festivus, the miracles just keep coming! I hope those who don't celebrate are happy today too!

St. Maarten by a longshot whether you want beaches or culture. I recommend, for first trip, an excursion that visits the major towns on both the French and Dutch side, plus a beach stop that includes time for both beach and eating. There are plenty of these excursions.

I liked the status-match and the Black Friday offer was good so I'm trying MSC, Divinia out of Miami to Ocean Cay for two days. I have three questions, mainly for anyone who has cruised both Carnival and MSC because the first question is the most important to me... 1. What are the main differences between the on-board and port experiences between Carnival and MSC? 2. Are the casino-comp cabins in MSC a thing like they are on Carnival? 3. What didn't I ask that you think would be great to know for a first-time MSC cruiser? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

A second vote for Brass Magnolia, when I was on in January they had a great funky jazz band called Washboard playing live just about every day... (Washboard "something"). They were fantastic! I liked Brass Magnolia better than Fortune Teller, the layout, the music... Also better than Alchemy and the bar that looks out over the beautiful atrium.
