Ah, thanks. 3rd leg cruise I believe? We are not on that one. Of course we did not book 2nd leg either, due to already having Australia booked (again, after first time cancelled due to Covid). But of course RCI decided to cancel our 2nd attempt at Australia when they yanked Radiance out to put her in NO. Have once again booked Australia, but not with RCI. Viking circumnavigation cruise in January 2025. Thinking about adding in two connecting legs that go to SP islands, Taz, and NZ.

I can see St. Petersburg...but which other ports? So far I have only booked RCI tours. Probably a good move.

Even worse....years ago, while sailing out on little MJ out of PC, I was sitting in the VCL waiting for cabins to open. Happened to glance out as we were moving out of the port, still in the channel, and saw a large purple suitcase floating out with the current next to us, trailing the RCI luggage tag. I called out: Anyone check a large purple suitcase? 😲

You do realize that even hotels are eliminating daily cleaning as well right? Even the "those that have money" higher end hotels.

I never do that. If we are not at T#1, we simply go up to the VCL and have a seat to relax. I wander off, leaving Bucky with the carry on bags, to bring us back a beer/wine until cabins open.

I drive early to the port to drop luggage off and be able to find an "inside the garage" parking spot. If at favorite T#1 at PC, we drop the checked bags, park leaving the carry on bags in the vehicle, then walk over to Grills for Bloody Marys. Saunter back over, grab the carry on bags and walk onto the ship. Works for us. 😉 Especially since we only do B2B or longer cruises. Want to be sure my little SUV is snug as a bug in a covered spot.

You were needed on the docks today. Saw the porters dump an entire luggage cart full of luggage all over the concrete. Some that were less than strong suitcases broke open...clothes everywhere. 😮 They were trying to stuff what they could back into the suitcases, that I am guessing they hoped that they belonged to. Then using tape, and plastic wrap to secure them again. Yikes! Can you imagine Kathy finding a strange pair of boxer shorts in with her dainties? 😛 They really needed Dave and his famous duck tape to the rescue down there!

That's not a purse...that is the "black hole". 😄 Your bro is still enjoying his new wheeled carry on. Though TAD is still our favorite day (which is today!) ...no longingly looking for luggage to arrive on those days. Ahhh...beer and wine on the balcony before the masses invade! 😉

I always request as soon as I book a cruise. Have OBC credited into late 2024 already.

Our neighbors are pot heads. Try the smell of skunk cabbage coming through the A/C vents every day! 😮 I would not want to have that cabin next week! And before anyone asks...yes the officers have been in to talk to them several times...pretty hard to hide that smell.

Currently on Jewel B2B. Cabin attendant just let us know today that the Jewel is starting their once a day cleaning by tomorrow's sailing, but it does not affect JS and above cats (as I understand is the case with all the ships in the fleet). Thus we will still receive our twice a day next leg as well.

You all do realize there is an Indian dish offered every night in the MDR right? It varies each night. Plus of course the Vegan offering. So, at least they are trying to offer choices for various tastes. I love Chicken Korma night. 🙂

We have been leaving the cabin freebie beers to the attendant when we leave. Now they are ones taking the cut! 😮 🤕

Agree...and yet that sign is posted in full view above the goodies. No sure why they bother any longer, but I think they have to follow protocol. In the past, before vouchers, you could get unlimited drinks during happy hour in the DL. Now...you need your vouchers in there, which you can also use at any bar around the ship. So indeed taking the drinks out of the DL (especially when seating is limited) is quite often needed to find a seat.

And totally agree. I do both. Drink the ship's water from the WJ, and the restaurants. Plus love having my water available in my cabin in the bottles...especially at night. 🙂

I don't pay for the water. I use my always available on board credit. I let RCI pay for it.
