  1. Well said...and iMHO...it gets worse with each generation.
  2. LOL....I watched a woman trying to key in her card at the Concierge Lounge one day. It would not open. She was furious and started complaining loudly. I asked if she was in a suite. YES she told me loudly "I am in a Junior Suite!!!!". I told her she may want to check with GS as to why her card does not work, since I am sure she would not listen to me explain the difference between a JS and a full suite. Sheeeez.... 🙄
  3. Agree. So many parents I see on cruise ships...are not really being parents. They just let their "darling children" run wild and ignore them. Real shame. And then they don't learn how to be responsible parents when they get older. 😞
  4. Ugggh...totally agree. Though we never had that problem today, I think I would have a tough time not giving the parents grief for letting the kids do that. Not safe.
  5. Yes, absolutely! Though that was on just slightly older twin sister Oasis. Funny thing with the "Diamond Lounge" which was on deck six over the Promenade...was only for coffee. The happy hour was on deck four in...was it the "Cript"? Totally a dungeon. 😄 Then that area became the DL later.
  6. Thanks! I am indeed looking forward to our short time on board! Happy I can finally meet her, and most happy (hopefully) to be able to see Mamma Mia.
  7. I totally forgot the old DL...used to be the original CL...now the "CL" again 😉 is still there on 11. Nice! Short walk to the coffee machine for me early morning...versus the "dungeon" on deck 4 where other Oasis class ships have it. 😉 I have a "hump" JS on deck 10. Booked too late to grab a decent Crown Loft suite on deck 17.
  8. Yes..they are indeed. Just something about birds. We always miss our show at home sitting there in our Florida room with a glass of wine...watching our always busy bird feeder. Much better than sitting in the living room watching the depressing news on TV. 😄
  9. Thanks...I forgot to check out the names on the boards. 🙂 I guess I just gushed with love to see them too fast to find their names. 😄
  10. Yeah, I know what you mean. The first time I tried the walk, I scolded Bucky for "Shaking" the walkway behind me. I mean .....I was not happy! Now he waits until I am a good distance ahead before stepping out behind me. Though now I am totally used to it and comfortable with it. But I won't tell him that. 😇
  11. We were actually supposed to be on Allure for our B2B and TA (4 weeks) a couple of years ago, then they switched it out for Wonder (score on that part 😉 ). But will hopefully finally meet her in May, even if for a very short time.
  12. My favorite enclosure is the last one. These Parrots are very...very friendly. Quite a few of them in there...and yet another tropical Pheasant.
  13. Next enclosure had a lot of colorful small parrots. One seemed to lose it's head!! 😮 Oh...no...she's back again. 😄 The Love Birds...were being very lovey!
  14. First set of birds...a lot of variety. Loved the yellow pheasant, and the cute Java Sparrows. Toucan Sam made an appearance. Black bellied Whistling duck, and then saw his mate that was giving me the eye. 😉 "Hey, that's my boyfriend lady!!"
  15. We always love this man that plays the Harp on the pier as you walk to the port area. Has been doing that for years. He is very good. 🙂 And of course always add to the tip jar when we pass. 😉 Getting on the rope walkways between the bird enclosures is always interesting. And the last set goes over the Dolphin enclosure.
  16. Gosh...I don't feel old! 😄
  17. I hope not too much. Have never sailed on Allure, and since it is still...for now...home ported at local port for us, I have booked a quickie 4 night. Would never usually do short cruise, but I wanted to see Allure at least once and definitely want to see Momma Mia. 🙂
  18. We also want to try Silver Sea (though still in the RCI family)....and would like to try Oceania.
  19. Yes, we are enjoying being back on the Wonder. And was elated to find Grace is still in CK as hostess! 🙂 A little fill in until we rejoin Serenade in Barcelona this July. Plus doing a quick stint on Allure in May.
  20. Eh...don't feel bad. Pinnacles really never know if they have access to SL or Concierge Lounges any longer either, until we board. Unless we are in a full suite, which 99% of the time we are. Since you still have to use your vouchers even in the Crown Lounge...there is no reason not to use them around the ship in the various lounges as well if you have restricted access.
  21. On one of mine right now on Wonder. 313.36 paid for port fees/taxes for one week in superior balcony, used RCI stock and RCI Visa for OBC to pay automatic tips (though we pad that heavily with hand to hand cash tips 😉) Cruising on the cheap this week. 😁 However, that being said...a couple of freebie cruises won't keep me loyal any longer. Soooo many cutbacks everywhere in the last few years, with pricing going up and up and letting the little ladies live with lack up update and repair (to pay for the massive theme park style ships?). This has finally knocked us off the 20 year "Loyal to Royal" bookings as ironically..... after turning Pinnie...we are booking with other lines. Viking has taken the bulk of our bookings now.
  22. Welcome to Costa Maya. As usual a bit earlier on the arrival with gangway open at 7:30...and wow were the pax anxious to get down there! Yikes ...massive march to deck 2. Then all aboard at 2:30 due to long haul back to PC. We will once again visit the birds at the aviary. Love the open air individual sections with free flying tropical birds. Rope walkways that connect them all from above the port area. Received yet another milestone crystal block and gave it to our sweet Grace the hostess in CK...she was very happy to get it. 🥰 Did not go to the show last night...my bed and my book were calling me. 😉
  23. We as well. Was here last in November. Quite a bit of progress...but still a large project to undertake. Seems around 60-70 "worker bees" each time we have been here. Interesting walk in shallow end of the long pool with little tables in the water and a water logged bar area (not swim up...but still feet in the water). To the far side, a set of covered areas that may be more bars and or cafes. And of course more shopping plazas. 😉
  24. Still a lot of construction going on here in Roatan cruise port. Will be interesting to see how far that have progressed when we are back again here on Enchantment later this year. 🙂
