  1. We ended up picking a different itinerary so sorry can't help 😔
  2. We have a cruise stop in Casablanca Morocco this Nov and have an excursion booked which includes a visit to a Muslim mosque and have been advised we will need to have legs and arms covered. I plan to wear a long sleeved linen tunic over long linen pants and carry a light pashmina to cover my head. On the whole most European religious sites only require covered shoulders and covered knee length but I've seen lots of men in such places in shorts and tanks 🙈😱
  3. Back to original question I carry a travelon crossbody bag with a foldable water resistant rucksack so if I purchase anything or need to get rid of a layer or two it can be stowed away
  4. Hmm we were on Ex2 in June and were PAI but in bars and MDR it was virtually unnoticed especially the mdr where getting drink of any sort was like blood from a stone! Never once offered a wine list let alone the offer of a bottle of red or white, occasionally a waiter wld remember to offer a small glass of wine and they don't ask yr room number anymore as you go into the mdr which was used to tell staff you were PAI, for us the only benefit was bottled water in cabin and coffee port drinks. Going on D2 in Nov once again PAI so will see.........🤔🤔
  5. It would appear from the comments so far one can ascertain that to be certain of lobster on the menu one must pay the premium of staying in Grills class as it look like Brittania menus have been downgraded. Personally I don't find anything special about lobster and would vote for large langoustine every time preferably with a good dollop of melting garlic butter or aoli 😋
  6. Agree about getting ready and pre dinner drinks but according to @Poole Boy #31 post decision by cruise director to "enhance customer experience" personally dont see how and cant see how it would affect dining times of passengers, maybe its so show team can be utilised later in the evening at other venues? 🤔 be interesting to know how its working in practice, hopefully just an experiment!
  7. Not liking the 6pm and 8pm shows, we generally have late sitting MDR but i dont want to be racing round after a days sightseeing to be ready to go to the theatre at 6pm, hope its not going to become the norm on other ships and is just a one off??🤔
  8. @rakkor thanks just ordered some 👍🙂
  9. I've recently booked Spain Tours for a trip to Granada and the Alhambra small group tour from Motril, initially communication was fine and as i have a lot of euros cash i want to pay on the day (218euros) but gave my credit card as security. When the trip confirmation came back it had gone up to 463euros, i immediately emailed using info@ address back asking them to confirm correct price but heard nothing for 5 days, i sent another email this time to both the info@ and the gmail address telling them i was putting a stop on them on my credit card and that i'd be giving them a rubbish review on CC, got a reply within a few hours from the gmail account saying it was a typo and profuse apologies. just a heads up read in the small print your invoice wont be from spain tours and they're a Canadian company with a spain office, we also heard from a friend in Italy who had similar experiences with them again the doubling of the price of his trip so something to aware of. The trip we've booked was sold out on our ship hence booking with them so be interesting to see if it actually goes ahead, may look to have something in reserve just in case ?? hth
  10. Yes we're on this one too Q517 inaugural QE out of Seattle on 12th June we're flying in on 10th from Heathrow.
  11. I booked a private transfer thro booking.com when I booked our hotel it cost £56 for 2 of us airport to hotel hth
  12. First thing I checked as BA was 1 expensive and 2 from past experience not impressed by them but if you points to use.....................🤔 i also saved a grand by booking independently rather than thro Cunard Air.
  13. We are going on Q517 out of Seattle in June 25 and just booked our flights with Virgin homeward bound leaving SEATAC at approx 16.00hrs, here in the UK you have to be at the airport 3hrs before a US bound flight so i factored in being at SEATAC for 1pm latest to account for this. Possibly looking at doing a morning tour of Seattle to include transfer to airport after exiting QE at 9ish?. hth
  14. I and I'm sure a few others can remember the days you got everything in the post or collected from your TA , ah the joy and excitement of opening that envelope, those were the days lol 😆
  15. Roll Call link added had 4 views Marella peeps don't really seem to do roll calls like other lines lol 😁
  16. See answers in ironing topic further down but basically NO
  17. No no no and no! Would you decorate your front door every day at home? Maybe for Halloween? Maybe a wreath and lights at Xmas but ordinarily no no no 👎
  18. Spain tours came back with this offer 2 options for this excursion: (1) Private tour for just the 2 of you - 495 Euros per person. This includes a private transfer to Granada/Alhambra, English speaking guide at the Alhambra, free time in the city of Granada, and a transfer back to port. OR (2) Small-group tour - only 89 Euros per person (with minimum 12 persons signed-up) Our small-group shore excursions include * Personal pick-up from the port of Motril * Personal drop-off at the port at the end of the tour - 100% on-time for departure! * English speaking expert guide at the Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens * Guided walking tour in a group of 12-18 persons only! * Orientation by the tour escort in Granada city center (subject to time only - not guaranteed) * Free time for lunch, shopping, and exploring the city center on your own * Total duration of approx. 7-8 hours - subject to actual arrival and departure times of the shIp The small group tours include a transfer in a mini-coach or motor-coach bus for the drive to Granada/Alhambra and splitting into 12-18 participants only for the personal walking visit at the Alhambra Complex. We get excellent feedback for this type of high-quality way of exploring the Alhambra in a small-group and I am sure you will be happy with your decision to join us! Please note - there is a ticket cost of 20 Euros to the Alhambra Palace which is extra. This is a discounted rate which is offered to our guests only! We will be able to purchase these tickets for you - but only subject to availability by the time the booking is confirmed. I'm going to sign up.for the 89euro plus 20 euro tour and hope they get up to the 12 needed. Fingers crossed 🤞
  19. As title, we've booked this cruise and when i went to book shore excursions from Motril which is our final day on 20th Nov there are NO trips available to the Alhambra, I've contacted Spain Day Tours for a price which i'll report back on, they have good reviews. So just a heads up if you thought you had missed your chance to go to Granada and Alhambra see Motril Shore Excursion | Spain Day Tours for info, obviously if they can fill a minibus or coach from the ship the better the price will be. HTH PS even 10wks out there is no speciality dining available, not sure if this is already all booked up or will be made available nearer cruise date.
  20. We visited Palamos in 2019, shuttle bus from quay to town, very easy to DIY lovely place to just potter about, nice beach for a stroll and a paddle, we loved it. Enjoy
  21. We are going on sights & delights on Marella in Nov 24 and it lists Morocco (for Marrakesh) on 18th as a stop so i'm wondering if really it will be a stop at Melilla so very useful info thanks.
  22. We used the aerobus some years ago but as i recall they are very modern ones where the door opening floor is low to the kerb for getting luggage on and off, there are steps if you want to sit at the back, buses are frequent and easy to use. you can pre book tickets on line. hth
  23. We did Dubrovnik in may this year and can concur with @Brummijam his description of what happens.
  24. Ha well after my denoucement of D2 just booked a week on her in November Sights & Delights, the itinerary persuaded us to give her another try, £200 off offer helped too and local airport departure. 72 days and counting yahoo 😁
  25. TBH why iron on holiday take stuff that doesnt need it, dont think a steamer would be allowed anyway. Lifes too short to iron on holiday imo. 😁
