  1. The reason for the difference is that the price you got for the double is a guarantee stateroom while they do not let solo's book these so it if for a category where you choose your room
  2. As mentioned above you can book as 2 people and have one be a no show but realize you will not get the double points.
  3. Adults only area. A lot of chatter on the last minute decision to move the adults only areas to the hideaway on deck 15 as opposed to cloud 17. Brilliant move in my opinion. With only one smaller pool on Cloud 17 there will be very few kids up there anyway. Pretty sure any kids will mostly be on deck 15. I think 17 and possibly even 16 will have few kids and will be mostly adult areas without labeling them as adult. The hideaway is a much better adult space and a fantastic view.
  4. Running/ walking track is near identical to OA class. A couple of hats, ducks and tumblers. Less than we received on Wonder. We did get a nice set of 10 pins for completing the room tour though.
  5. On board and using this for 3 days and it's the most civilized elevator service I've seen on a ship.
  6. I'm guessing it foes by weight. Start at 5, so msnynpeople get ion it knows not to allow people from 7,8 and 9 on the elevator.
  7. Port days you go to deck 5 and the escalators take you to the gangway...super easy.
  8. While it is accessible it requires a lift and you cant get close to the edge. One of the upper decks on the side would be better or even on 16 there are good views from the aft.
  9. I'm changing my Giovannis reservation next week to Chops so I can pay more for that Wegu Filet.
  10. Like I said earlier, new favorite ship. The colors make it vome alive. Som many more dpaces, food venues, places to sit and relax. Adults only area on deck 15 aft is awesome.
  11. Same pattern for all balconies. This is bed by the bath which is awkward with the closet.
  12. Unlikely a glitch. It's how their revenue model is programmed based on available inventory.
  13. Absolutely. Kids be a no show. Ran into this with far greater savings than what the OP mentioned.
  14. A few random observations. The new elevators are fantastic. No more throngs of people pushing their way into each elevator then stopping at every floor. The most stops I have made is 2. Waiting an extra minute or two to get an elevator that then makes few stops is definitely a plus. Windjammer is laid out like Wonder. Very efficient, made to order omlettes at the very back, many miss thelis so it doesn't appear to be busy. Bed configuration is yhe same as Oasis class with the cabin on the right side of a connecting pair having the bed by the balcony. This ship does have the closer near the bed like Oasis and Allure to it is a tight squeeze with the bed by the bath so a definite preference for bed by the balcony on this class of ships.
  15. If it's a scammer they are going to send you an e mail hoping you will give them your credit card. In the OPs case the charge was on their credit card which means they have the card number and the charge was from Royal.
  16. It's not the exact same category. It may be the same room type but it is a different category.
  17. It happens a lot on Icon. Pricing is category based and driven by sales of that particular category. With 80% of the cabins on this ship holding more than 2 there is lots of inventory for those quads and very little inventory for doubles leading to this scenario.
