Thanks for the info. I will ask when we get in. This is our 5th sailing with Royal. Not taking a robe sure saves space in the luggage.
-
I am packing and I see on RCI'S website they no longer leave robes in staterooms. I'm hoping they will bring one if I request it. Has anyone recently got robes in your rooms?
-
I have the replenish package for our October cruise on Oasis. The coffee's and Chai tea sounds good. I wondered where is the quickest or easy place to get the water? I can drink 8 to 10 bottles a day too.

Thanks all. I am cruising with family and we are in separate cabins. They have done the interpreting for me and I appreciate it. I have a problem hearing someone at the door. Like Room service. Or the attendant who let themselves in when I don't hear the knock. I have explained to them but they forget. But it's never been a big deal. I will be calling to get the room kit. I better hurry. It's a month away.

We are going on the Oasis this October.
Has anyone ever used the portable room kits they have available? Do they get your attention for someone knocking on the door?

I recently bought Crystal Geyser. It taste good to me. I decided on the Replenish Package. Looking forward to the variety it offers. Including espresso.
-
The bottled spring water sometimes is Crystal Geyser, on Oasis it was a brand I never saw before and never remember the name. The sparking water was Pellegrino.
Thanks for the info. That sounds like one of the dollar store brands. I'm thinking of getting this pkg for the coffees and juice too.
-
Is the bottled water Evian or another brand in the replenish package?
-
I just called RC to question the replenish pkg. Was told it includes specialties coffee and espresso too. No Starbucks.
Forgot to ask if there is a coffee maker in the balcony rooms. I like my morning coffee when I wake up.

Thanks for the review Sotermarler. Makes me even more excited to board. Less than 2 weeks for us. :D

I voted yes.
I would like to see more items. Smaller mugs would be a good thing for me. Better fitting ladies logo tees also.

I'm liking your review. Great writing. Waiting for more.

To everyone sailing today. Have a great cruise!

I usially get lobster in our grocery store. They steam it for you for free, and the price ranges anywhere from $4.99 per pound to $12.99 per pound for Maine lobster, depending on the season. Anyway, I wanted to order the lobster in the MDR just to see how it was. I ordered the steak frites which was complimentary, and paid $19.99 plus gratuity for the lobster. It was served halfed and cleaned. The claws were removed, and the claw meat was inside the cleaned out head area. It was ok. IMO, it is more flavorful from my grocery store. It was cooked nicely though. The tail was slightly mushy, but really, nothing to complain about. I persoanlly wouldnt order it again, and to me, it didnt seem like it was anywhere near a 1.5 pound lobster, but that could be because the claws were already removed.
Thanks for your input. Maybe I will get something complimentary and get the lobster to share.

I would like to try the lobster too. And wondered if it's worth the charge.

Freestyle Thank you for the christening photo. I guess I never thought about how this was done. :)

More Escape fun! Looks like NCL will be live streaming the inaugural events on Periscope on Monday (11/9) beginning at 2:30pm EST. There will be the ship christening, godfather ceremony, celebrity appearances, etc. according to the NCL Escape website.
Soooo exciting! Flipping out because I'm so thrilled ... Or as we said when I was a teen "Spazzing out!". [emoji2][emoji106]🏻 (and yes, I just dated myself, LOL)
Thanks Texangal I gotta watch this.

we are cruising the escape for Thanksgiving can we bring a travel iron on or is there somewhere on the ship to iron your own clothes thanks
They might not let an iron pass security.
I am thinking of bringing Downy wrinkle releaser mentioned on a recent CC article. I wondered if it really works. I see there is a 3 oz travel size.
We cruise Dec 5th. I'm really looking forward to this cruise.:)

I see items I want to try every day on these menus. Looks better than a year ago on the Getaway. I might even go for the lobster one night.
-
My cruise is in a month. I started a list. The suitcase will come out about 2 weeks before.
-
I am enjoying all the Escape threads. Really got a lot of info. Our cruise is Dec 5th. I hope to see a few Christmas decorations. Will they Have any that early? Sorry if this is already posted.

I am packed and ready. No robe. If none are available I can buy something (a big shirt maybe) in Nassau Sunday. Or where ever the captain takes the ship because of the weather. Thanks everyone for your input.
