I take tooth brush and paste. Hair fixing stuff. deoderant. Meds. V I P papers. A change of cloths. Slip on shoes. E reader. My Jewelry. Extra sun glasses. Hand wipes and and a can of Lysol.

I will not be cancelling my December Escape cruise. Been looking forward to it too long.

My cabin steward has made me feel like a VIP. :)

What I like to do is explore the ship. Lots of exploring to do. The ship is big. Be sure to read the daily for events you might not want to miss the 1st day.

We were on the Getaway the 1st week of October last year. Summer clothing was all we needed. Even at night on the outside decks. I do need a sweater for the restaurants and shows because the air conditioning is too cool for me. I loved the Getaway and October is a great time for cruising where you are going.

We had a mid ship balcony port side. Had a good view of the fireworks.

I would go for the spa pass

Have I missed info about when a float out is scheduled, or if it has been scheduled?

I'm waiting for this too. Gotta be soon.

I've chosen this ship because of all the different areas to have fun/be noisy, and there are many quiet, relaxing areas.

 

Why shouldn't adults who are paying be allowed to be loud & noisy & have their fun?

 

Nobody likes obnoxious, but that comes in all ages.

Loud & noisy doesn't always equal obnoxious.

My post was in reference to another post before me about kids. The adult part was in jest. ;)

Hoping to see lots of loud noisy kids on Escape's water park. But PLEASE no loud noisy adults. :D

Also hoping to see more on the dining menus soon instead of pictures.

I got the same email too. It doesn't have any effect to my cruise. But it's nice to know they are keeping us informed.

We have been using the port. After looking into other options we like the convenience of the Port of Miami. Also two years ago after our cruise the car battery was dead. Security was handy to jump it. So that was a relief not to have to search for help.

I think its just the angle of the picture. I'm sure you have a standard NCL balconette. ;)

Balconette? That's funny. I had a balconette on the Getaway. I enjoyed it anyway after figuring out how to arrange the furniture to have my coffee and snacks out there.:D

Watching TV is one thing. Some of my cruise mates like a good movie while cruising.

I like checking my account and looking at the menu for the different restaurants. Sometimes I can make last minute reservations. Also I like checking the Captain's log and map.

Would you be more specific please - how far ahead? Can it be done before sailing? Did you talk to the reservation desk?

I let the MTD in the restaurant know at Cagney's and the MDR. I remember on RCL Allure in the Brazilian restaurant they didn't know there was a birthday until the end of the meal with the Room card scan. They hurried to sing the happy birthday song and bring a cake. I think you can put it in the on line planning. I wonder who looks at that?

We bought the cabin decorations from NCL website under gifts. Our steward helped to see the room was decorated while we were out as a surprise. So that was a nice touch too.

It is a good feeling to get a price drop on what you have booked. Yes like extra cash to spend while cruising. :D

I love the sweet fried Plantains at the Flamingo Grill on the Getaway. Wish they would add them to the other ships. Going on our 3rd Getaway cruise in August....and yes, the Flamingo Grill is part of that decision :o

Yes..Those plantains had me going back to the Flamingo several times. Yum

This is all great that everyone is forgiving and hugging and loving on one another, but can we get back to talking about the Escape now?

At the buffets. All the different bread puddings. I wish they would bring back the chilled fruit soups. I still look for them.

I would be afraid I would lose what I have booked. Mine is sold out too for December.
