Guess we will see once we are on board. My kids are in the connecting cabin so not sure if we would keep the door open or not. They usually have an inside cabin, but it was actually cheaper for us to book them in a balcony this time so we went for it!!

One thing that I LOVE about Celebrity is that they designate gluten free items on their menu. That way one doesn't have to order ahead of time!! So much more convenient that way! Once the servers know you are gluten free they bring the bread special but otherwise we can order off the menu!!

How does one know which are "adjoining" balconies? I THINK we have connecting rooms on our upcoming Silhouette cruise. (It has the little line on the deck plan), but does that mean it has the door to be able to open the balcony as well??..... Or do just certain cabins have that?

We were on the Summit last year and I had no problem eating gluten free in the MDR. LOVED the designations on the menu. The first night I mentioned that I had to eat gluten free and had the bread every night. Now booked on the Silhouette in April and hoping for the same. I never knew that they offered gf pizza!! Maybe it is just on certain ships?

I have a reservation for 2 cabins. One of the reservations shows up and the other says that the number is an invalid loyalty number. I was in my reservation yesterday,but can't access it today. Grrrrr.....

We are on the 8th deck.....about the middle of the hump (can't remember cabin numbers off hand) in the past we have been on the starboard side so I guess it doesn't really matter cuz one never knows which side will be facing the port. Glad to hear that we should be happy here! Thank you everyone!!'

We have done anytime and loved it! Early was too early and late was too late. Ended up at 7-7:30 each night and got our wait staff when we requested them. Only once they didn't have an available table so we just waited 15 mns or so until they had a table open.

Hi! Just booked on the Silhouette today. Originally planned on a cabin on the starboard side but the TA talked me into cabins a deck down but on the port side on the hump. Is this a good place to be??!!!

We did this itinerary last year over Spring Break and had a great time! LOVED the Summit! We considered the same ship and itinerary this year but our daughter takes the ACT on April 12 so we can't make it to San Juan in time.....looking to go on another Celebrity that leaves on Sunday. Have a great time!! I'm SURE that you will!!

I was on the Summit in April. I have to eat gluten free as well. There is no need to order a night ahead in the MDR. The menus clearly state the items that are gluten free. I had no problem at all!! I did request gluten free bread the first day and they had it on the table for me each night after. Good luck and have fun!!!

Does anyone know if Celebrity carries Red Bridge beer ( it is GF) ?

I just got off of the summit last week and unfortunately they do not have Redbridge. I didn't even see the woodchuck cider but then again I didn't ask.

I was happy with their menu specifying gf items. Made things so much easier!!

They did offer GF bread at dinner. It was ok, but I brought my own loaf of Udi's and ate that instead!

I have a friend that got it after her cruise early December.....and still has it. I felt so bad because I talked her into going on a cruise and then she got this! :( she went to physical therapy for it. Not sure of any meds she might've taken, but unfortunately it hasn't gone away. She has good days and bad days. The doctor told her that she might always have it.

After getting "yelled at" in my post that I wrote a long time ago (we discussed that) I was afraid to make a comment......but couldn't believe what was said!!.....btw, Brett says hi and misses his evenings with you!

Unfortunately I don't know last names, but I do remember that the captain is Leonardos (from Greece) hotel mgr is Nina (from Finland) and cruise director is Alexandar(from USA). I was trying to get more info before we got off of the ship but the book that was in our room that had everyone in it wasn't in our cabin the last day. Hope this helps some!

Anyone have any information regarding the Summit?

Just got off the Summit and there is a new captain that was promoted just recently. He is only 34!! I was shocked! It was nice to see how much he interacted with everyone. We were impressed and really liked that.

I agree Chill6x6..... I loved the Ruby Princess and with the 3 pools it gave plenty of options! If you didn't want to watch a movie or concert just go to another pool!! There are choices for everyone's taste! There were days that I sat by the pool with the big screen and if I wasn't Interested in watching I just put my headphones on. JMO tho!! ;)

But what if the Classic package is free, using the 123 program? Then NO payment is ever made for it. If you cancel it, then buy the premium pkg, then you would have to pay full price and lose the free promo. Doesn't make sense to me.

That's what Celebrity told me when I called. Since it wasn't purchased they have no amount to upgrade so it has to be done on board. Oh well! No worries! Just preferred to do it before we sail but waiting won't hurt.

Have been reading a lot of threads about upgrading from classic to premium. We have the classic package from the 123Go promo and are going to upgrade to premium. Many people have said that it can be done now. I was told that we had to wait until we are on board. I decided today that I don't want to wait until we are on board so i just called Celebrity. They told me that since it is a promotion that it can ONLY be done on board because it was a promo and only they have the system to do the upgrade. Seems odd to me. Anyone else have this issue?

I didn't realize that there isn't smoking allowed on balconies or the casino.....but I am so happy!!! On our last cruise the person next to us was smoking on her balcony and it was horrible! I too am sensitive to the smoke. I said something to my husband about it and she must've heard me.....cuz she wasnt very happy! Oops!! I don't know what the rules were cuz I didn't ask, but maybe that is why it didn't happen again.....I am guessing that it wasn't allowed!!
