The next ship we will be passing is our old friend, the Carnival Spirit. We were just on her in January. As we sailed by, the captains of the Celebration and Spirit engaged in a horn battle…… The Carnival Spirit is preparing to leave on her 16-day repositioning cruise to Seattle for the Alaska season. Safe journey old friend! To be continued…..

The Carnival Celebration has pushed away from Terminal “F” to begin her journey out to sea….. The first ship we pass it the Norwegian Encore….. To be continued…..

We both unpacked our bags, and then relaxed until it was time for sail away. We met Gilbert our Cabin Steward and requested evening service and ice twice a day. No problem! The Carnival Celebration sailed right at 4pm and was the first of the eight ships to leave. Patti wanted to hang out on the balcony, so I took the camera and headed for the open decks. Once upstairs I saw that our Cruise Director Lee Mason has got the Sail Away Party well underway….. DJ OJ is spinning the tunes with help from the Cat in the Hat and Things 1 & 2….. I’m looking towards the Valiant Lady and Parking Deck “G” where our car is parked….. Here a couple of random Miami views….. To be continued…..

Glad to have you along again! Today I'll be posting our sail away from Miami and our first evening's exploits. The Celebration and Mardi Gras are almost identical, you'll have the same experience you did on the Mardi Gras last year.

We went back to the cabin where our Sail & Sign cards were in the mailbox, and all our luggage was waiting for us. Of course, Patti had to take pictures before I or our luggage was allowed inside. This is Cabin # 12354….. Plenty of closet space….. Our tiny bathroom….. Our extended balcony….. To be continued…..

Patti and I decide to head to the Red Frog Tiki Bar. On the way she got these Miami views….. We have made it to the Red Frog Tiki Bar….. DJ Fresco is now spinning the tunes for the Beach Pool….. We were able to get a table for two along the railing, where we hung out and had a few drinks until 2:30pm or so. To be continued…..

Patti tried to get up to Loft 19 but the door was closed, and nobody was around….. This is the other Serenity hot tub….. Patti leaves Serenity and heads back down to Deck 17….. She heads aft passing Guy’s Burger Joint….. Patti has made it back to the Tides Bar where we have a visit from CC member WhiteOptima. She and her husband are now on the second leg of their B2B. Once Patti finishes eating she’s off to start her photo tour. I’m going to hang here at the Tides Bar for a while. Her first picture is Swirls, which is right across from the Tides Bar….. She heads back inside of the Marketplace and gets these of Seadogs, Shawarma, and the Gelato station…… There’s a small dessert station….. She heads back outside to check out the Tides Pool and hot tubs….. Here are a couple of Miami views from the Tides Pool….. To be continued…..

Always a pleasure to have you along for the ride! That's a great story. Don't understand why New Jersey won't change the law. I have no problem with pumping my own.

We walked in the terminal door at around 9:20am and basically walked to the seating area with just brief stops to check in, and then for the security screening. We also stopped to get our embarkation photo taken…… We were seated in chairs by 9:40am. Boarding began at 10:45 and followed this order: Weddings, Diamond, Suites, Platinum, FTTF, and then boarding zones. Now that we are aboard, here are today’s “real” Fun Times that are delivered to the cabin each evening….. The first thing we did once on board was head to our Muster Station (C8). This was located at Bonsai Sushi on Deck 8. Robert, the Brew-master that we knew from the Pig & Anchor on the Mardi Gras, was in charge of this station. That taken care of, we made our way to our cabin (12354) to drop off our carry-ons. The room hadn’t been done so our Sail & Sign cards weren’t there. We left a note for Gilbert, our room steward, that we had put our bags in the closet. We were getting hungry so up to the Lido Deck #16 we went for lunch. I went to Big Chicken for a Shaq Attack……. Patti went to the Salad Bar in the Marketplace and made herself a salad….. We took our lunches over to the Tides Bar to eat….. I’m having my first drink of the cruise….. To be continued…..
