  1. The Carnival Celebration has pushed away from Terminal “F” to begin her journey out to sea….. The first ship we pass it the Norwegian Encore….. To be continued…..
  2. We both unpacked our bags, and then relaxed until it was time for sail away. We met Gilbert our Cabin Steward and requested evening service and ice twice a day. No problem! The Carnival Celebration sailed right at 4pm and was the first of the eight ships to leave. Patti wanted to hang out on the balcony, so I took the camera and headed for the open decks. Once upstairs I saw that our Cruise Director Lee Mason has got the Sail Away Party well underway….. DJ OJ is spinning the tunes with help from the Cat in the Hat and Things 1 & 2….. I’m looking towards the Valiant Lady and Parking Deck “G” where our car is parked….. Here a couple of random Miami views….. To be continued…..
  3. Glad to have you along again! Today I'll be posting our sail away from Miami and our first evening's exploits. The Celebration and Mardi Gras are almost identical, you'll have the same experience you did on the Mardi Gras last year.
  4. Thanks for coming along for the ride once again, and for your kind words! Much more to come! 😎

  8. Thanks for reading! You're going to have a great time! 😎
  9. Do you have a Havana cabin? We have pictures of the Havana Bar but none outside since we didn't have access. 😎
  10. It's a small world indeed! Glad to have you aboard, and hope this helps you with your planning and expectations for January! Welcome aboard! Glad you enjoyed the throwback pictures!
  11. We went back to the cabin where our Sail & Sign cards were in the mailbox, and all our luggage was waiting for us. Of course, Patti had to take pictures before I or our luggage was allowed inside. This is Cabin # 12354….. Plenty of closet space….. Our tiny bathroom….. Our extended balcony….. To be continued…..
  12. Patti and I decide to head to the Red Frog Tiki Bar. On the way she got these Miami views….. We have made it to the Red Frog Tiki Bar….. DJ Fresco is now spinning the tunes for the Beach Pool….. We were able to get a table for two along the railing, where we hung out and had a few drinks until 2:30pm or so. To be continued…..
  13. Patti tried to get up to Loft 19 but the door was closed, and nobody was around….. This is the other Serenity hot tub….. Patti leaves Serenity and heads back down to Deck 17….. She heads aft passing Guy’s Burger Joint….. Patti has made it back to the Tides Bar where we have a visit from CC member WhiteOptima. She and her husband are now on the second leg of their B2B. It was a pleasure to meet you! To be continued…..
  14. Here are some more Serenity area views….. The Norwegian Encore is docked in front of the Celebration…. This is the Serenity Bar….. This is the Serenity sitting and pool areas….. To be continued…..
  15. Here are a couple of views of the Sports Court….. This is the stairway up to the Ropes Course….. Patti comes back down to Deck 17 mid ship. This is a view of the Beach Pool looking forward….. That’s Oscar on the steel drums….. Patti heads forward and back up to Deck 18. Here’s a view of the Beach Pool looking aft….. Patti heads forward to check out the Serenity area. This is one of the hot tubs….. To be continued…..
  16. Patti heads up to Deck 17 aft which looks down on the Tides Pool and hot tubs…… Patti next heads up to Deck 18 aft and the Ultimate Playground….. This is the nine-hole mini golf course….. Here are a couple of views of the WaterWorks….. They consider this blue path the “jogging track”….. To be continued…..
  17. Once Patti finishes eating she’s off to start her photo tour. I’m going to hang here at the Tides Bar for a while. Her first picture is Swirls, which is right across from the Tides Bar….. She heads back inside of the Marketplace and gets these of Seadogs, Shawarma, and the Gelato station…… There’s a small dessert station….. She heads back outside to check out the Tides Pool and hot tubs….. Here are a couple of Miami views from the Tides Pool….. To be continued…..
  18. Nice! I think we covered it like a glove, but if you have any questions ask away!
  19. Always a pleasure to have you along for the ride! That's a great story. Don't understand why New Jersey won't change the law. I have no problem with pumping my own.
  20. We walked in the terminal door at around 9:20am and basically walked to the seating area with just brief stops to check in, and then for the security screening. We also stopped to get our embarkation photo taken…… We were seated in chairs by 9:40am. Boarding began at 10:45 and followed this order: Weddings, Diamond, Suites, Platinum, FTTF, and then boarding zones. Now that we are aboard, here are today’s “real” Fun Times that are delivered to the cabin each evening….. The first thing we did once on board was head to our Muster Station (C8). This was located at Bonsai Sushi on Deck 8. Robert, the Brew-master that we knew from the Pig & Anchor on the Mardi Gras, was in charge of this station. That taken care of, we made our way to our cabin (12354) to drop off our carry-ons. The room hadn’t been done so our Sail & Sign cards weren’t there. We left a note for Gilbert, our room steward, that we had put our bags in the closet. We were getting hungry so up to the Lido Deck #16 we went for lunch. I went to Big Chicken for a Shaq Attack……. Patti went to the Salad Bar in the Marketplace and made herself a salad….. We took our lunches over to the Tides Bar to eat….. I’m having my first drink of the cruise….. To be continued…..
  21. Cool! Let us know if you show up in any of the pictures!
  22. Unfortunately, with eight ships in port today, the traffic bogged down so it was slow going to reach our terminal. Here is the MSC Seascape at Terminal “C”….. The Carnival Spirit is at Terminal “D”……. This terminal sign says that we’re heading in the right direction….. We pass the Norwegian Encore at Terminal “E”….. We finally reach the Carnival Celebration at Terminal “F”…… We pull over here and drop off our luggage….. We now have to drive down the road a little bit to park in Parking Deck “G”. The Grandeur OTS is docked at Terminal “G”…… Once in Parking Deck “G”, we found a spot to park on the second level. We took the stairs down, and then made the short walk back to Terminal “F”. Our cruise journey is about to begin! To be continued…..
  23. We have a 9:30 to 10:00am arrival time. We checked out and left the hotel at 8:40am. This way to Miami….. There is hardly any traffic at all, so in twenty minutes we were approaching the exit for the tunnel to Dodge Island….. Before we reached the tunnel, we got a glimpse of the eight ships in port today….. The Valiant Lady, Grandeur OTS, and Carnival Celebration were the three ships closest to us…… We are heading into the tunnel. We are almost there! Once out of the tunnel there are plenty of signs to direct you to where you want to go….. To be continued……
  24. Day # 1 – (4/16/23) – It’s Embarkation Day!!! We were up at 5am to shower and get ready for the day. It’s going to be sunny and hot with a chance of thundershowers later in the day. Once we got our luggage ready and tagged, I asked Patti if she was ready for breakfast. She wasn’t hungry, but I was, so I headed down for the free breakfast that the Springhill Suites provides….. Here is my breakfast plate….. To be continued…..
