When the Getaway is on western itinerary can someone please advise which side of the ship faces land when you arrive at the various ports. We are trying to decide which side of the ship we want our cabin on as we like to face land if possible!

We are on the Getaway on Feb 04/18 and have a 12:40 am return flight from FLL to Toronto so we would appreciate a little more detail on the Disembarkation please. Where did you guys get in the line up to do the self walk off? Did the customer service desk advise you as to the location and best time? We feel *am is very reasonable as getting off the Celebrity summit in San Juan always required us to be at the exit at 7am!

Disembarkation - We had a 12:10 flight to Toronto and we read ahead of time about the long lines so we decided to do the self walk off. We didn't bother with the buffet that morning knowing it was going to be stupid busy so we just ate at the airport. Being Canadian we could go in either the US or "other" passport line. We chose US because it was right there. In hindsight I think the "other" passport line was shorter. Overall we were in line just after 8 and off the ship just before 9. The delay with walking off the ship is due to the escalator in the terminal. They stop the line every 20 people or so to allow for the escalator to clear. Customs was nothing; just flashed out passport and was waved through.

So I got in line at 8:30, was in my Uber by 9. There were two lines, one around the casino and one on deck 7 starboard side out the back door by tropicana (I think). The outside line moved very fast and merged with the casino line right before the key card scan.

I am American. We used QLS transportation. I had them scheduled to pick us up at 8:00. QLS called about 7:20 to tell me where to meet my driver. Driver was waiting and took us immediately. Our flight was at 11:05. We made it with plenty of time to spare.

I just got off the Getaway on 4/2. We did the self-assist walk off. Got in line at 6:30 am. We were the 3rd family in line. Exited the ship at 7:22 and was at FLL at 8:15. It went so smoothly. I was very concerned after reading horror stories, but we had no problems whatsoever.

Can you please advise if you are American or Canadian. We are Canadian and will be on Getaway Feb 04-11, 2018 and our return flight is out of FLL at 11:40 so we are concerned about making the flight. Did you use Uber or a taxi? Any comments would be appreciated!

We are on the Getaway in Feb and want to do the walk off with our own luggage as we have a flight out of FLL at 11;40am and we are Canadians so any hints would be appreciated. We have done in twice in San Juan and had no problems off theSummit but its a much smaller ship.

We were on Getaway on 26th Feb - 5th March, we arrived at the port at 11.25 and were in group 5, we got onto the ship at 11.25am, all went very smoothly.

When we were disembarking, we were non US passport holders, left the ship at 8am and were in a taxi by 8.25. Best getting on and off the ship we have had.

We are going on the Getaway Feb 04-11, 2018 and we are flying out of FLL so we are very interested in how you arranged to get off the ship at 8am. We are also non-us (Canadian) and have a 11:40am flight to YYZ From FLL. Did you make special arrangements?

Thanks not the news we wanted to hear however it is what it is!

Can anyone that has sailed the Summit recently confirm that there is no smoking allowed at the Sunset Bar. When we were on board in2014 smoking was allowed on the port side of this bar

We were in 1111 on the summit three years ago. We loved the cabin and had an amazing time!

Geez my $16:98 Costco jeans that stretch are designed to fit me so of course they must be classed as Designer Jeans! Have fun with this! Remember a day cruising is to be enjoyed including dinner not matter what your wearing!

Did same to us AA on flights from Yyz I just called as directly and got them to change times closer to the original! We booked flight through Expedia.ca but it was a 45 minute wait so I went direct and ended up very satisfied. They said if AA

made changes then Expedia would no longer control reservation and I agreed to that! Do your homework first and make sure you know what flights are available that suit you!
