The way I read the policy is that smart casual is allowed in Blu on formal nights which suits me just fine. Should someone else want to wear a tux that is there choice and I respect that.

We were very concerned staying at the I/C prior to our cruise on Feb 01 due to poor reviews relating to service however we were pleasantly surprised as we found the service to be great from start to finish! Room was clean and ready ahead of 4pm check-in, doormen and bellmen handled our luggage without a problem, front desk couldn't ask for better service. We agree prices are very high in bars (two beers, and one mojito $32:00 including tip). Again, service was excellent! Beautiful property with lots of restaurants, Walgreen's and things to do all very close by!

Summit 9137- excellent room no noise from above but air conditioner was very noisy ! Excellent service all around!

We had a 10:50am flight on feb 8 and as we were not US citizens we had to put luggage out night b4. We were aquaclas but chose rendezvous-vous lounge on deck 4 so we were closer to exit and we arrived at. 6:30 am used porters at pier and airport to speed things up. When green tag I disembarkation was called at 7;30am we were off and had an easy time all the way and were at our departure gate for AA at. 8:30 am and we stopped at the duty free shop!

Taxi
in San Juan, PR
I agree don't be stressed by San Juan we have been there a few times and always had a good relaxing time. Driving is hectic so grab a cab for sure. We have rented a condo, a house and toured while on a port stop and it's one of our favorites! Enjoy your on vacation!

Thanks hope same timing for us on the 8th of Feb

We too are very interested in the answer to this question

If these groups are a problem or given special privileges it just proves Celebrity is the same as any other run of the mill business - "bottom line is Money"

We were on that ferry a couple of years ago it's a great trip very inexpensive then took a cab to one of the beaches ( I think sunset or something like that no facilities close to ocean) everything closed in feb at beach however great beach great day had a great lunch near ferry and we rode on upper deck of the ferry! Pack a cooler!

Thanks Andy ! Same to you and all the CC Family!

We have a 10:40 flight so hope we can make it using self debarkation keeping our fingers crossed! Does anyone know when first debarkation normally happens?
-
Thanks Ron we can't wait until our Feb 1st sail on the Summit.

Congratulations it's nice to know that many cruisers have enjoyed your excellent review!
-
Not that I can find but I'm hoping someone has one so we can see the summit

We used Hotwire and got the intercontinental as we ask for four stars and have been worried ever since as the reviews have been horrible for that class of hotel despite major renovations! I walked by this place from the beach side twice on previous visits to San Juan and from the reviews the pool area next to the beach is the only part of the hotel that lives up to the hype ! We will just have to live with it as there is no going back once they have your money!

Anyone doing 1/2 day tour with A J. Meddy tours? Looks like $140:00 for 1-4 people then $25 thereafter so if we could get 3 couples would be very reasonable

We booked our cruise with USA TA and received a lower price per cabin, $75 OBC, classic drinks package, and prepaid grats. No brainier for us! This will be our 3 cruise and and only once did we book with a Cdn TA and they price matched but we had to pay grats as TA would not throw them in. We were dealing with a friends son working in industry so we decided to give him the business at that time. Shop around and see what they will quote you and then make a decision! Cdn TA talk about bricks and mortar but for me it's my money and I like to hang on to as much as I can!

I do not like coke with my rum so I'm wondering if I could bring a case (12 cans) of Pepsi on when we board the Summit in Feb?
