Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Sounds good but I'm not a super experienced RCI cruiser so is a JS considered a "suite" as far as bath products go? I know there are some differences with other perks that JS do not get.
  2. Thanks - I'll bring liquid hand soap. I always bring my own shampoo and condition but my husband will be happy with whatever is provided.
  3. On another forum, a suggestion was made to bring a bottle of liquid hand soap for the sink as only bars of soap are provided. We are in a JS on Radiance so not sure if bath products are any different. What is provided? Bar soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner? Thanks for information.
  4. We have used the thermal suite on other cruises but not yet Radiance. In the big picture I think they provide pretty good value (like a mini-spa experience without the price of the spa services). Looking forward to this on our AK itinerary.
  5. Agree - I just booked the thermal suites on Radiance for the adults in our party to Alaska in July. Definitely have the heated thermal loungers - many Google images can be found.
  6. We booked 4 JS cabins on Radiance for our multi-gen cruise to AK in July with 11 people. Radiance doesn't have all the amenities of the bigger ships so JS doesn't mean as much but I look forward to the extra cabin space and priority boarding. And I like the location of the connecting cabins right across the hall from each other. Wish the balcony dividers could be opened but honestly at this point I just hope they fix the propulsion issue and we sail as planned.
  7. Sailing to Alaska in July. Is there still a Captain's Night, dress your best nights? Any way to find out in advance which nights these are? I had read about "themes" on other nights (ugh not my thing) so we might book specialty dining but I haven't been able to find out which nights are which.
  8. For convenience, but not particularly budget-friendly, we (family of 11) are staying at the Pan Pacific pre-cruise. It is located right at the port so no need to book transport. We are taking the subway train from the airport to the Canada Place which is where the hotel is located. We have stayed previously at the Marriott Pinnacle downtown and walked to the port. This was fine for the two of us. We also considered the Delta Suites for this trip but for the make-up of our party, it is advantageous to stay right there at Canada Place.
  9. Thank you. We don't need to board at 10:30 but I just want to make sure we get to our lunch reservations at noon.
  10. I see that but not sure why as the original link was royalcarribean.com Why would people from Australia have lesser benefits though?
  11. Yes, but Royal Caribbean also says this: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/aus/en/faq/questions/Can-i-get-Priority-Embarkation?country=AUS "Priority embarkation is offered exclusively to suite guests (except Junior Suite)." Hence the confusion...as well as two differing replies my TA got directly from Royal.
  12. We have reservations at both Chops and Giovanni's so he can compare.
  13. I have seen conflicting information regarding priority boarding with junior suites. We have 4 JS cabins for a July sailing out of Vancouver to Alaska. Our TA contacted Royal and received two different responses on whether we will get priority boarding or not. In case not, I will check in at midnight on our assigned date. But wondering why it isn't clear - seems like a simple yes or no. Does it vary by port or ship?
