  1. I am missing 3 confirmations in the last week.  One is for the final payment we made for the Bliss 9/18 departure, and the other 2 are dinner reservation confirmations for 9/11 and 9/18 on the Bliss.  Someone whom I trust told me that he has been told that the Bliss confirmations are not being sent out (at least automatically) because there will be an announcement in the next few days of replacing the Bliss with the Encore.   Nothing official yet, but that is what he has been told.

    Hmm....🤔

Makes me think they are moving Joy out of New York earlier rather than just changing itineraries out of NY.

I wonder what other ships may be affected by 'Fleet redeployment"

The thing about moving the Joy out early is that there are still I think 6 cruises planned for the Joy out of NY after these cancellations - 5 to Bermuda and 1 to Canada/NE.

I just got an email about my FCC for my canceled Sept. Cruise and its not even close. We used our 25% Off plus FCC from our canceled May 2020 cruise. My fare after the 25% FCC was taken was $2,346.86. My husband's was $2,302.11. With the taxes, prepaid service charges. etc. Our total was $5,655.81.  We used $3,687.55 of my 100% FCC and the rest was paid with my husband's FCC. My email says  my 100% FCC is $1,302.55 and my 25% FCC IS $79.50. How does this add up?

That's interesting.  We got 2 emails just before 7PM this evening (EDT), one for cancellation of Sept 3 on the Encore and one for cancellation of Sept 8 on the Encore as well.  Our numbers are not even close to correct either, but the real interesting part is that each letter says the total FCC amount that has been posted to our Latitudes account is the exact same amount as yours - $1302.55.  This was not even close to the actual amounts, nor is it close to what was posted to our Latitudes account, which was actually even less than that.  Sounds like NCL has some fixing up to do.

We booked through CAS for our April 18th cruise.  We immediately received our two Cruise Next certs, although one is $200 rather than $250.  Still waiting for FCC.  Unless their public relations person is busy calculating my FCC, it would be nice if NCL would occasionally blast out a generic email letting people know updated time-frames.

Funny - we were booked on the same April 18 cruise as you.  We got our FCC's as they promised on April 3, but are still waiting for the 2 Cruise Next deposits to be credited back.  (The FCC was correct except it did not include the insurance.  Giving NCL a week or so to see if they fix things before having our TA call them.)

I’m still not even sure who Patrick is. The only contact I have had with the concierge desk wAs to change a dinner res and a show and they were his assistants. He has not made himself known to us. That’s not a problem or anything, just reporting it.

This is Patrick's picture from when he was our concierge on the Gem in 2017.  This time we just missed him.  We disembarked the Bliss on 2/16 and he boarded the same day.

soon sister and I will be toiling and muttering white magic chants trying to get gussied up for the cocktail party with der Captain. In other words trying not to look tired and As old as we are.

Have Patrick, the Concierge, take a picture with you and the Captain and his senior officers.  Patrick takes great pictures.  Tell him Victor and Nancy recommended him.

On Bliss JC was excellent as CD. Excellent assistant Alexandro from Croatia. Both were getting off soon. I believe Luz was replacing JC. Excellent dancing opportunities on the Bliss. Especially in the Sugarcane mojitos bar with gold river duo.

Agree about JC and Alex (actually from Ukraine).  Alex went home this past Sunday and was replaced by Luz.  JC is still CD.  And the Sugarcane bar was rocking every time I walked by.

Here's our JC Sanchez in Oct. 2011 on the Gem.  May not be the same person (but might?).  However,  I was struck by your comments regarding his memory.   Same on the Gem.  I met him early in the cruise (maybe at the M&G), and every time he saw me after that, including when we ran into him ashore in Bermuda (where this photo was taken), he called me by my name.

    enhance

So that certainly looks like the same JC, and I spoke to him a few minutes ago and he confirmed it.  That was him.  Here he is now.

Is this the same person as Johnny "Cash" Sanchez who was an ass't CD many years ago?  (If so, he was terrific then and I'll bet he's a great CD now!)

My guess would be that this is not the same person.  This one is Juan Carlos Sanchez and here's a picture of him on the Breakaway from 10/5/14.  He wears glasses now, has a goatee, and has put on a few pounds (who among us hasn't).  It was wonderful that he remembered us this week when we last cruised with him in early 2015.

We board next Sunday and I see 3 of our old friends from the Breakaway - GM Djamel, Cruise Director JC

Would you please remember the Kiwi Proof Reader Mike to both of the above, I (and my wife Pauline, have enjoyed cruising with and helping both of them.   Thank you

I emailed both of them with your message and here is JC's reply:

"Please say hello to Mr. Mike.  He was the official “proof reader” on the Jewel when we did our transatlantic crossing from Japan to Alaska.

    Thank you.

    Keep Moving Forward,

    JC SANCHEZ | Cruise Director"

Well, I finally booked our free Ambassador cruise.  We booked an aft Haven suite on the Breakaway.  We did get the Free-at-Sea perk included (but still had to pay the tips for dinners and drink package).  They applied the cost of the balcony to the cost of the suite though, so I am happy with that.  Plus we will get to see our favorite concierge.  Yaaaay!

    Who is..........

  15. The subject of the thread refers to "Bliss".  If you are asking if the Bliss will have Super Bowl pools, our scheduled departure time from NY is 3PM, which is often delayed somewhat.  Even if we leave exactly on time, we will not be in international waters until 4:30, maybe 5:00, when the casino can open.  Kickoff is 6:30. I would be very surprised if they try to sell 100 boxes in that short a period of time.  We have been on several cruises on Super Bowl Sunday, and they have filled up several of these boards.  We even won a couple of boxes over the years.
