  2. Did you see me waving from the Bliss as you sailed by?
  3. Hello from your sister ship, Norwegian Bliss. We are docked in Juneau and you will pass us on your starboard side when you arrive in a few hours.
  4. Arvin and Emily just went home from the Joy about a week ago. Arvin once told me that the Joy was their ship, so I am guessing they will be back there soon.
  5. I am enjoying your reports. The Celebrity ship is, in fact, the Solstice. And the smaller white ship that is tendering is the Regatta, of Oceania Cruises, a sister company to NCL.
  6. Really enjoyed your reports @BirdTravels as usual. On the first day you mentioned that Igor was the GM and that he used to step up to fill in when Deepak was on vacation. Is Deepak still the primary GM of the Encore? Has he moved on to another ship? Another company? I have not seen his name mentioned in any list of officers recently. Thanks.
  7. Thank you. Is he still on the Encore?
  8. Is GM Deepak Punia still with the company? I have not seen his name mentioned anywhere in quite a while. Last I heard he had been the GM on the Encore.

  10. Perfect. Thank you very much. When I first saw your other picture, I said that looks like deck 6 aft, past Savor and Taste. Glad you made you way forward.
  11. Thank you. However those are usually only the Hotel Department officers, and it is usually only their first names.
  12. Looking forward to your reports all week. If possible, try to get a picture of the screen that shows pictures of all the senior officers. It’s on deck 6, on the port side of the forward staircase, between the stairs and the bathrooms. Thanks.
  13. Looking forward to your reports this week. You mentioned the concierge is Monica. Is her last name Fotache? If so, we had her on our last Breakaway cruise in October 2021. Also hoping you can get a picture of the officer board on deck 6. After 4 or 5 of the individual pictures, it displays the entire board for maybe 10-15 seconds. Thanks.
  14. Hello @graphicguy Nice pictures. Bring back memories of our sailing on the Joy last fall. We are going to be on the Joy again in a few weeks, in 18126. Would you mind saying what cabin you were in when these pictures were taken? Want to see how similar it was to the one we’ll be in. Thanks.
  15. Beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing. BTW, I think we may be dealing with multiple Nomitas here. This is the one on the Prima right now. She is from India and has been an Asst GM for a while. This picture is from the Escape in 2018, when the old HD titles were still in effect. It looks like a different Nomita in Henry’s picture.
  16. Thank you for taking the time to write up this interesting review. You say the concierge was Patrick. Was his last name Berido? We had him as our concierge a number of times on the Breakaway, Gem and Escape out of NY. And we will be on the Bliss in September for the Latitudes cruise. Would be great to sail with our Patrick again.
  17. In the picture of the concierge you posted before, it looked like Efren Acesor. We had him on the Joy last October. Is that him?
  18. Thank you for taking time to do this. If, at the meet and mingle, they give you a card with the names of all the senior hotel officers, would be very happy if you posted a picture of it.
  19. Enjoying your reports, as always. I believe you said earlier in the week that GM Ricardo would be going home yesterday. Do you know who took his place?
  20. Norwegian Getaway - 14 day crossing NY to Southampton, April 29 to May 13. 2024. 21. Thanks to everyone who took time to reply. I think we are going to book the March 7th cruise as the second of the back to backs, and hope for the best. Thanks again.
  22. Thank you. However, the 12 day cruise is the one in the middle of the 8 day cruises. The first 8 day cruise is out because of Presidents' Day week. What I am wondering is if the March 7 eight night cruise will be during spring break.
  23. Not having any children (or grandchildren), I need advice from those who do. I am looking at booking back to back cruises on the Escape during her brief residency in New York next winter. We definitely are considering the 12-night Caribbean cruise that departs on Sunday, February 23, and returns Friday, March 7. The cruise right before it is an 8-night Florida/Bahamas voyage that departs on Saturday, February 15. Since Monday, February 17 is Presidents' Day and most/all schools will be closed that week, that eliminates that cruise. The cruise right after the 12-day is the same Florida/Bahamas route and this one leaves Friday, March 7 and returns Saturday, March 15. So what I need advice on is whether this March 7 cruise would be during spring break, or is it a little too early for that. I know spring break can be at different times in different parts of the country, but I would like your thoughts anyway. And for what it is worth, Passover and Easter are very late next year - Saturday, April 12 (at sundown) for Passover and Sunday, April 20 for Easter. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.
