  1. The late night snack hours of 9:30 to 11:30 in the Garden Cafe were eliminated a few months ago as one of the many cutbacks. Many of us, like you, used to like stopping up there for a quick snack at the end of the day. No more, unfortunately.
  2. Thank you. We were on the Getaway for B2B cruises in early February. The concierge was Huberth Perry, and Lourdes was the assistant. Ask her if she remembers Victor and Nancy who ended up with a drunken passenger in their bedroom one morning at 4:50AM.
  3. Thanks for all the info this week. You may have mentioned this earlier, but who is the Haven concierge?
  4. Regarding Deepak, do you mean his last day on the ship until he comes back from vacation, or really his last day on the ship? ie he’s moving to another ship or another company.
  5. I sure hope the OP is still planning to share his/her thoughts. We have not heard from @Malamel since the very first post on Thursday.
  6. Me too, @Malamel Looking forward to reading it.
  7. He was our Captain on the Getaway for the April crossing in 2019. This is him on the far right.
  8. Thanks for posting all of this. Great to see Shailendra Sawant is now a GM. Cruised with him as F&B Director many times on the Breakaway.
  9. @SGCruiser2013 That BTS tour sounds great, especially the visit to the bridge. You mentioned the Captain spent time with you. Do you happen to know his name?
  10. You should start this under Norwegian Cruise Line Roll Calls and then under Norwegian Spirit Roll Calls. Check to see if there already is an entry for your cruise before starting a new one.
  11. Hey @PistolPete13. I am enjoying your reports, as usual. The Carnival ship was the Carnival Celebration. Her maiden voyage was this past November 6. So, she is, as you thought, the newest ship in the fleet. She is also the largest, at approximately 183K Gross Register Tons. By comparison, the Getaway is around 145K GRTs. Enjoy the rest of your trip. And if you go to Maho Beach tomorrow, don't forget to duck.
  12. Looking forward to your reports @PistolPete13 Nancy and I finished up 17 days onboard last Saturday. My one piece of advice to you is to make sure you pull or push your door shut all the way until it clicks. Our door needed a little extra force to close, and one night we did not pull it all the way, and we ended up with a highly inebriated passenger standing in our bedroom at 4:50AM. Have a great time.
  13. Norwegian Getaway 2/1/23 cruise. Originally 2 days in Bermuda, now 6 hours at night in Nassau. Captain - Konstantinos Gkokas Staff Captain - Luksa Stanisic Chief Engineer - Vasileios Nousis General Manager - Mario Markovic Asst General Manager - Goran Rorbek Food and Beverage Director - Metin Camurlu Restaurant Manager - Ivan Volek Executive Chef - Angelito Santos Beverage Manager - Dindo Ramos Cruise Director - Alvin Oliva Guest Service Manager - Bon Villaluz Executive Housekeeper - Jose Omier CruiseNext Manager - Taarun Shorey Concierge - Huberth Perry
  14. Looking forward to cruising with Alvin again next week. The last time we cruised with him, October 2021 on the Breakaway, I showed him a picture I took of him with us on the BA in 2014. Suffice to say, he and I have both put on a few pounds since. 😉
  15. @mking8288 thanks for these pictures. Looks like Dindo is there as the beverage manager. And recognize Mario, as always, wearing his sweater. Looking forward to seeing the name card.
  16. Glad you were able to make it to GSC and that you enjoyed it so much. That smaller RC ship, by the way, is the Freedom of the Seas, maiden voyage in 2006.
  17. Go to the roll call for the January 20 cruise. On post 417, @JIMESOPUSposted pictures of the senior officer board. The Captain is Konstantinos Gkokas and the Staff Captain is Luksa Stanisic (spelling may be slightly off, the pictures got a little blurry when I tried to zoom in).
  18. The Cruise Director is Alvin Oliva, just back from vacation. Don’t know about the rest of his team. We board the day you disembark.
  19. Looking forward to your always interesting reports. Nancy and I board the day you disembark. We’ll be doing Bermuda and then the Caribbean back to back.
  20. Great pictures. That’s the Wonder of the Seas off your port side, the Carnival Celebration off your starboard side and the Disney Fantasy on the other side of her.
  21. Unfortunately I think that late night snack was only because it was New Year’s Eve. It was gone from the schedule by the next night.
  22. Thank you. Much appreciated. If, at the Meet and Greet, they gave you a card with the names of the Hotel Department officers, would you please post that as well? Thanks and enjoy the rest of your cruise.
  23. Thanks for posting the pictures of the senior officers. I am always interested in seeing who is in charge, and I recognize several of them from our previous cruises. Special congratulations to Captain Kevin, after sailing with him many times as Staff Captain.
  24. Go all the way down to the bottom of the menus and you will see. One is for vegetarian, one is for gluten-free and one is for spicy.
  25. Enjoying your reports this week very much. I know you went back an hour last night when you left Halifax. I am guessing you will need to go back another hour tonight for the end of Daylight Saving Time. Unless you went back 2 hours last night.
