Zuiderdam - behind the scenes tour

We are cruising on the Zuiderdam for my DH's 50th birthday and he is really interested in how things work behind the scenes. Do they do behind the scenes tours on the ship? If so what areas do they tour in?

Some cruises have a ship's tour and some don't. You will have to go to the front desk once you are on the ship and ask if there will be one.

The cost $150 per person.

A person just off a ship did the tour and posted pictures of it. I will try to find that thread.

Even though the pictures are from the Nieuw Amsterdam's ship tour, if the Zuiderdam does have one it will be very similar:

I understand if the ship does the tour, they are extremely well like by the passengers that have taken them. I hope your DH gets to do one, it would make a wonderful 50th birthday present.

Check with the front desk as soon as you board.

A very worthwhile tour if it is offered. Be prepared for a good deal or walking.

To be seen: Laundry, Recyle, kitchen, backstage, bakery, food storage lockers, bridge, Engineering, engine room (sometimes), etc. Of special interest to me was photographs of how EVERY dinner plate must look as well as the giant smoke/fire sensor board on the bridge.
