winewanderer Posted November 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2017 Hello, Thanks Mike for the thread. Staying the same before a cruise is good. I gained 5 lbs. over 12 days of cruising/travelling. Probably because of the drink package we had. Mud slides and mojitos and margaritas, oh my! Hopefully I have better news next week. Hope everyone else did well. I got my usual soda package so I can’t do too much damage that way. I can’t really even eat like I used to either. If I can come in at 5lbs when I get home I won’t be too disappointed. Plus have GREAT NEWS...35 day cruise..didn't GAIN:D think I even lost a pound! How about that? Why? I think because I did a lot of walking, mostly ate only two meals a day and didn't drink to much. But I did have some mud slides and margaritas thru out the cruise and.............. had dessert everyday, I really think the walking did it plus not eating extra food between meals. (like I do at home sometimes) Now if I could get back to walking. Loved all the Islands. Warm weather, back to the cold weather and rain!:( Mike thanks for starting the threads. Soon you'll be on your cruise. At least you haven't gained before your cruise. Know you'll have fun. Diana aren't cruises great. No gain in all those days.(y) I gained 0.8 lbs this week.:o That's probably because I finished off the Hallowe'en goodies, had lunches out, didn't exercise etc. Better luck next week eh? Belle Posted November 13, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 13, 2017 How was everyone's weekend? Cold here, hate it after warm weather. Doing alright eating wise (haven't gained) but so lazy. Don't have all the clothes wash or put away. Don't weven ask how the house looks like!:eek: Where is everyone? Only you three, Mike, Diana and Jo? Others should be here, Winter/Holidays are coming. Need to get weight off or at least maintain during this time. You need to come in each week to do that. Right? So you our friends if you have gone off track and have eaten to much, gained or whatever..Come Back. WE need you as you need us. Our goal is to lose but if by chance we gain these months, I promise it will be less if coming in here. You'll be aware some of the time and do better than if you don't come in. Right? Mike I went to the Hawaiian Islands, Hilo,Honolulu,Maui, Kauai and Kona, then Pago Pago,( Samoa), and then Bora Bora, Papeete and Moorea ( French Polynesia, Tahiti) Loved it<3 Oh forgot, went on 7 day to Mexico before it did the Hawaii cruise, why the 35 days. Hopefully one day I can branch out to more exciting cruises like that. As long as I'm still working, I'll have to stick to the seven day variety. One day though!!! :) I would imagine a thread started by Belle with a lovely poem is much more appealing to the newbies. ;) Several regulars have been around though, so I expect they'll return. This week has been the slowest definitely. I'm very torn this week. Four days from hitting the road, part of me says "whats the point in struggling for maybe another 1lb at most?" Then another part of me says that 1lb could be the difference between accepting a reasonable gain when I get home, or jumping from the ledge with disappointment. :confused: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Belle, Hubby and I have Papeete, Bora Bora, Moorea on our Transpacific cruise next year. So looking forward to that. Have been working hard at the gym since we've been home.
