mxylpic Posted December 16, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 16, 2017 Hi all, Longtime Royal cruiser looking at MSC for Summer 2019 Northern Europe/Baltic. How far in advance does MSC generally release itineraries? Royal already has theirs up and looking at MSC for something new. Successfully used Search to answer all of my RCI vs MSC questions but can't find this one. :) TIA, Ed
nutterbutter818 Posted January 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2018 I'm waiting for them to release the schedule too. I am surprised it hasn't been already.
nutterbutter818 Posted January 7, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2018 I called MSC just now and the rep was surprised the 2019 schedule was not already online. She said it should be "anytime now" and recommended that I check every two weeks.
Rare rafinmd Posted January 27, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 27, 2018 cruisetimetables.com is showing schedules for many MSC ships well into 2019 although MSC hasn't released anything. They are usually a pretty reliable source. Do you think there's any likely validity to what they are showing? Roy
riclop Posted January 27, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2018 Nobody knows for sure.
nutterbutter818 Posted January 27, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 27, 2018 I see that MSC UK has 2019 dates but only accepting bookings from UK residents. I found a similar itinerary on RCL but it has 2 nights in St. Petersburg for a total of 10 nights. I think I'm gonna go with that one. Sorry MSC but I'm tired of waiting and I like the 2 nights in Russia.
Capricruiser Posted January 28, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 28, 2018 MSC Italy lists a neat cruise on the Orchestra from Hamburg to Iceland and to Greenland 10-31 August 2019.
nutterbutter818 Posted January 28, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 28, 2018 That does sound like a nice itinerary! Maybe I'll do that one after the Northern Europe one. We really want to do the Baltic cruise.
janny444 Posted January 29, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 29, 2018 Hi...looking at itineraries for 2019 out of Southampton it seems like MSC have "cut back" on their cruises....think there are only about 5....just wonder if MSC are "struggling" with their Southampton departures. Any thoughts as to why ....I really thought that after 2018 where they seem to be much more committed to cruises from Southampton that they would have kept the momentum up.
