Blue Chip Certificates Changed

Just wanted to pop in here after reading a very confusing thread on changes to rccl's casino program to let you know we received some very different certificates on our sailing in May on Solstice. I played a LOT of video poker, big bets lots of time in there and hubby did moderate table play. We were given one certificate each. Mine was for $120 off per night of the cruise of our choice (no holiday blackouts-not valid on Edge) and hubby received one for $80 off per night. So they are combine-able for $200 off per night. I like that they don't have restrictions.

We are both Sapphire and received a very similar offer to you on our April/May cruise, however we have just got back from 10 day cruise and were told everything has changed again, but we were given no details. Just told to phone Miami in a few days time to find out more.

Lovely. I really wish both cruise lines could get their act together on this stuff. We used to be super loyal Harrah's customers and we are cruising more and enjoying the casino perks but man it's hard to get a straight answer on all this stuff. @dollydosh do you get emails or mailers from Celebrity? We often do from rccl but almost never from Celebrity.

Hi janetmojo,

We very rarely get emails and when we do they are for short cruises in the Caribbean and as we are in the UK it's a bit too far to travel for a 5 day holiday. We get no mail from RCCL but we were both awarded a free cruise certificate on a 5 day cruise we did back in May. We've mailed RCCL a couple of time to book something using the certificates, but as of now, had no reply from them. The last time we phoned to book it cost us over $120 in phone calls because they kept putting us on hold.

We love the perks you get at Sapphire level with Celebrity so tend to book with them over any of the other cruise lines.

We were big time Harrah patrons. We were there so often some thought that we lived there ( from Michigan). We became friends with many of the BT and cocktail servers and been their house for parties and dinner. Would also meet with them for after hour wind down at Casino Royal. A few have visited us. We still keep in touch. Also made many friends from other states that would always be there when we were, same as when we cruise as we tend to always sail on the same cruises.

Because of all of the changes for the worse at Harrah’s we now go and stay at the Wynn. Found it to be more like Celebrity instead of .... the little extra that we pay is well worth the cost. All class.

Waiting for the Boston Harbor casino to open.

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
