ChinaShrek Posted August 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2018 I am on the Empress of the Seas which is supposed to depart Miami on 2/18/19. The cruise is no longer listed on their website. Does anyone know what has happened to it? Charter or sold out?
PhoenixCruiser Posted August 18, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2018 That sounds familiar, did you do a search or look at the first couple of pages? Sent from my SM-T820 using Tapatalk
Merion_Mom Posted August 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 18, 2018 It has been cancelled. Others have received an email from Royal Caribbean. I assume that you have not. The reason is an extended drydock. Call RC in the morning. Exact quote from email: "Empress of the Seas is undergoing an extended renovation which means, we must regrettably cancel our February 18th, 2019 sailing." Would they have received the email?

ChinaShrek Posted August 18, 2018 Author #7 Share Posted August 18, 2018 Yes. And should have forwarded to you instantaneously. I just wanted to give you an update. I called my TA and they said that they hadn't received any email from RCL. So, I asked her to call RCL and find out from them. After a rather long hold, I was told that, yes my cruise was cancelled. RCL is emailing TAs and customers in a staggered fashion (and not all at once). RCL was only offering OBC if I booked on one of three specific dates. These dates did not work for me. I ended up requesting a refund.
