Maasdam Vista Suite question

DH and I are doing the Atlantic Coast cruise in a couple weeks on the Maasdam. We've

been assigned Vista Suite #167.

Does anyone have any input about that particular cabin and/or its location on the ship in

terms of desirability?

Also, will we definitely keep this cabin now that it's been assigned, or does HAL sometimes

change the cabin even after notification? If so, how likely is that?

It is a good location.

There are cabins above you -- thus no noise.

Yes -- there is a possibility that you may get another upgrade. It has happened to some people.

We got a change on Maasdam years ago after we boarded and went to our room to find someones suitcases there. Apparently they needed our room type so we got a small upgrade. No big deal but now I know not to count on any specific cabin unless I indicate no upgrade.

We are in Vista Suite #156 starboard side above the casino. Your on the port side above mix. While you may be above the Piano Bar, it should be quiet. Our curuise from Montreal to Fort Lauderdale leaves on the 18 of August. Same as yours? We were on the Maasdam last year in a Vista Suite and loved it. You will also!

Yes, same cruise! We like that this one is rather port-intensive. I'm a big Anne of Green Gables fan so I'm especially looking forward to Prince Edward Island.
