Bayonne Teardrop Memorial

I urge everyone cruising from Bayonne to rake time to visit the Bayonne Teardrop Memorial dedicated to those who died on 9/11.

I was there today and it is magnificent.

Is there free parking at the memorial or is it close enough to walk?

There is free parking by the Memorial, which is right by the bow of the ship when it is docked with the starboard side against the pier (usual way). If you're sailing, it is definitely close enough to walk after you've checked your bags and parked.

We sailed past it last year - had an awesome view of it from our balcony. Still gives me goose bumps.

I was there last Wednesday in the early evening .There were only 2 other cars parked there .I was told that not many people come there and that really surprised me.
