paradise4me Posted June 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2018 We are working on excursions for our Xmas cruise aboard the Ovation. I feel more comfortable in a foreign land booking through the ship but it just seems like Auckland is a simple port full of many things to do. Is it easy to navigate and get around without adding a tour? I would love to see as much as possible between 8-6.
laurieb Posted June 24, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2018 It’s a very walkable city; you’ll have no problem. If you want to do a tour, Time Unlimited is an excellent tour company! They give a complete tour of the area along with Maori history. We’ve toured with them before and will be again in February. johnboi Posted June 24, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2018 The Auckland hop on, hop off buses are also very easy to use. They go pretty much from where the tenders will dock and stop at a lot interesting places. We used it a couple of years ago and found it great! https://www.explorerbus.co.nz
paradise4me Posted June 24, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted June 24, 2018 Thanks! Sounds great. How about Picton? We booked a tour through the sounds but it got cancelled because we are arriving later than thought, at 2:00 pm. Any good options? Thank you!
